User:Halaqah[edit]

WP:USERPAGE vio all over the place 132.161.187.62 18:40, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete Total violation of WP:NOT#MYSPACE.Tellyaddict 18:49, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, violates WP:NOT#SOAPBOX and he seems to be using it as some sort of blog. --tjstrf talk 18:54, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per above. MER-C 03:53, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep now. He's shortened it. Why the heck didn't the person filing this request first suggest to Halaqah that he make his page conform, rather than first asking that the page be nuked? I'll assume good faith here; that the editor in question was unaware of his or her faux pas. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 05:13, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comment Yo, how about I didn't believe that someone who'd already had their user page nominated for deletion once should need another warning? 132.161.187.62 06:57, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
      • Fair enough. Still , a word would have been nice. Admittedly, your approach was very effective. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 07:13, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
        • I believe this kind of behaviour is a waste of users time, It got nothing done. I was unaware that putting quotes from the former USA head and Desmond tutu could offende people, as well as a picture of the Lion of Judah. I find it very strange the extent gone 2, when a simple "please shorten your user page per blah blah" i didnt know what was on there was a violation. This is the 2nd time someone has done this. While as an editor i first warn someone, donte edit war, dont 3rr well basically action like this is the last option, kind of like warn well b4 dropping the bomb. very uncivil and useless.--HalaTruth(ሐላቃህ) 09:39, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
          • It is your responsibility to educate yourself on the guidelines and policies of Wikipedia. If you have a problem with following the rules or the consequences of not, perhaps Wikipedia isn't for you. 132.161.187.62 19:44, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
            • Prehaps you should quit while you are ahead. I think in your case it is best. WP:POINTI copied stuff from pages i edit on. it is related to wiki Desmond tutu so where is the problem. Further you should read wiki rules about conduct. If you see a problem the 1st thing you do is give notice, "i think your page violated x and z, so fix it" as opposed to wasting editors time with this POINT. I just deleted the content so what did you get? the stuff i deleted is in the articles i edit so what is your issue? explain the offense, do me a favor and disengage from this activity.--HalaTruth(ሐላቃህ) 20:46, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
              • I'm sorry, did I not make myself clear? I'm here to create an encyclopedia, not to pick up after users who stubbornly refuse to learn the rules. You've already been MfD'd once, now the onus is on you to keep your edits within appropriate bounds. If you can't do that, then I'm sorry to say that this completely legitimate MfD will be the least of your worries. 132.161.187.62 00:53, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep I've seen the older version (which is cleanup-worthy, if not deletion-worthy), but the current one has nothing really offensive or violating WP:USERPAGE. If the situation changes back to a myspace/manifesto sort of situation, then we'll have an issue with the user, not the page. The ikiroid (talk·desk·Advise me) 20:42, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Although I disagree with the deletion of the previous version, he seems to have cleanup'd it to contain only information about his work on Wikipedia, which is perfectly acceptable in a userpage. In case he'd start developing another "homepage" such as done since the last MfD, you might as well warn him per Ikiroid. Michaelas10 (Talk) 21:27, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Per Jpgordon. --GHcool 21:32, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. I have not found anything bad in currect version [1]. What is wrong? --- ALM 20:56, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
