Event information[edit]

A meetup to create, edit and maintain Wikipedia pages that support and pertain the South African metal community. We extend invite to any members of the public, including photographers, writers and contributors from other publications who share our interest of archiving all things metal. People are welcome to come and go as they see fit, with an hour or two lunch break in between.

There is a parking bay on the corner of Caledon and Harrington St, not far from the library. When you enter the library, the American Corner is situated to your left. You're encouraged to bring your own laptop, but there will be a limited number of laptops provided by the American Corner for those that do not have. WiFi provided for use by the American Corner. We have a lot of vouchers available for coffee at Truth Coffee Roasting up the road.

Hopefully this develops into a series of Wikipedia edit-a-thons.

We should focus on the culture and bureaucracy of Wikipedia and South African metal music, but the prime motive should be to make additions to Wikipedia and registering Creative Commons licenses!
