• Why: Everyone had a lovely time at the previous meet and many people were interested in doing it again.

• How to find us - Either ask the staff for the table booked in the name of Raymond. Or wander about looking for a table that has some people wearing Wikipedia T-shirts (see photo). It's not that big a place, you should find us without difficulty.

Wow! A great turnout. There was a bit of coming and going but I think there were 13-14 people there overall. Too many to get a chance to talk to everyone! Me, too. The first time that I met fellow Wikipedians in "flesh and blood". Thanks for organising! :-) For the next meeting, I would propose a venue that is quieter (I could hardly understand some people) and perhaps less expensive, too. Venue/Date[edit]

A few of us at today's meetup had a brief chat about potential times and locations. We tentatively seemed to be all happy with a date in late November or early December. The first Saturday in December is the 5th, which should allow us to call it an end of year/Christmas event, while hopefully being early enough that people won't be off on holidays or busy with other summer projects.

We also talked a bit about a possible location. The SLQ café is a nice place, but a few people felt it was a little on the dear side, and that it might be nice to move around and not go to the same place every time. User:Kgbo suggested the QAG Café as another possible venue, on my way home I went and took some snaps and it certainly has a lovely ambience.

I'm not particularly fussed on the date so long as it's after mid-November, but if a meet before that suits everyone fine then please don't hold off purely on my account. Lankiveil ^{(speak to me)} 10:12, 22 August 2015 (UTC).[reply]

My experience is that the last few weekends in November are a fantastic time for meetups of all kinds - the weather is great, and Christmas Parties have yet to kick off. However, for me at least, it means it gets booked out quick, and this weekend (and the one prior, and saturday after) are out for me. However, don't let me put you off. Non-wikipedian friends/relatives/etc are welcome, but not many come so it's hard to say if they would enjoy the meetup. We talk about a range of stuff both Wikipedia-related and non-Wikipedia related. But, as our next meetup is at the Qld Art Gallery which is very centrally located with the Modern Art Gallery, Queensland Museum, Qld State Library, Southbank, the convention centre and the Brisbane CBD all very close by (walking distance, see this map, there's plenty of other things for your partner to do nearby. Your partner can drop in and out of our meetup as much or as little as desired (we won't be offended). Duration of meeting[edit]

Finally tomorrow is the date of event... I was waiting for this event for three months. There are some VIP (Very Important Person) who is helping millions, on the event Please let me know about the normal duration of meeting tomorrow as I can stay there around 10:30-12:00 .... Anyone could be there early ?

@Goodtiming8871: There is no set time, but the last meetup went around three hours from memory... of course if you can't stay the whole time you're welcome to leave.
