Since you've brought it up, "PD-US-patent" does state that the document in question must contain the following within the body of the application and patent:

A portion of the disclosure of this patent document contains material which is subject to (copyright or mask work) protection. The (copyright or mask work) owner has no objection to the facsimile reproduction by anyone of the patent document or the patent disclosure, as it appears in the Patent and Trademark Office patent file or records, but otherwise reserves all (copyright or mask work) rights whatsoever.

I think that {{PD-US-patent-no notice}} should have a time restriction (like it does at Commons, see c:Template:PD-US-patent-no notice). The relevant regulations ([3], [4]) specify conditions on how a copyright notice must be placed. But copyright notices are no longer required in the US, so this is irrelevant for notices since March 1, 1989. See also section 717.3 of [5] ("The U.S. Copyright Office may register a claim to copyright in the written description for an invention or the drawings or photographs set forth in a patent or a patent application, provided that the work contains a sufficient amount of original authorship.") and c:Commons:Deletion requests/Template:PD-US-patent-no notice. — Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 15:36, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
