@90.244.43.177: What the confirmation link means is that you need to confirm that you own the global account for "ChrisD". To do this, log into ChrisD on another Wikimedia wiki and then make an edit that states that you're trying to complete your global account. However, if I'm not mistaken, you're not trying to get an account usurped, but rather you're trying to get an account in which you've lost the password for. In this case, WP:Changing username is not the place you should go. See Special:PasswordReset if you have forgotten your password. Edit: I'm a little unclear as to whether this request should be posted here, at the "Simple" username change page (since there is technically no user on English Wikipedia with the desired username), or on Meta, since it might involve "usurpation of accounts on other projects".
