I've been using my current username "drini" for about a decade in many sites, and over the years it's become strongly linked to my real identity. But this correlation is particularly strong on wikipedia where googling for my realname quickly points to my username. Several unpleasant incidents in the past had me thinking over a username change for several months but due to my manywiki involvement I've been hesitant.

I'm not trying to actually hide anything, so here I'm publicly asking and stating the username I want. I also fully understand the logs are public and that anyone determined enough will be able to add up 2 plus 2. The problem is that my username is very strongly linked to my real name and I don't want it to be so much plain evident to my work or university. My problem is not much that within wikimedia it's know who I am, my concern comes from real life issues.

The process to perform the name change involves many wikis but most of them would be no problem except for a very few where I have substantial contribs (as this one). Therefore I'm starting the process on this one (hoping it would be doable as otherwise it would be pointless to do it on the simpler cases). I also know this involves deattaching the account from the SUL, I'll make all the arrangements necessary so everything is neat when I'm done.

The target account Magister Mathematicae is mine but I made a single interwiki edit by mistake, hope it's not too much of a problem to usurp it (I can prove it's mine if needed by leaving a note on its talk). Reason it exists it's because I thought it would be easier (due to the amount of wiki involved) to create the new account and move flags on the few ones I have, but then someone reminded logs and history pages would be lost so I better take the long path.

Again, I'm not trying to hide anything and I'll answer open and clearly to anyone asking about this, nor I will try to deny or hide my former username.
