Propose renaming Category:Contactless smartcards to Category:Contactless smart cards
Nominator's rationale: Rename. This will bring it into line with its main article Contactless smart card. Note that Contactless smartcard is a #REDIRECT to this. HairyWombat 16:40, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy rename as what amounts to a typographical or spelling error. Harley Hudson (talk) 17:54, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Response. My reading of the guidelines was that this rename could only be speedy if the main article for the Category had been renamed. I could not be sure that this was the case (although it looks likely) so put the rename request here. The main difference between a speedy rename and this one is speed (surprise, surprise). I see no reason for urgency in this case, so why not let this process run its course? HairyWombat 18:22, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Rename per nom. Occuli (talk) 18:56, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Rename, simple error. jorgenev 02:17, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Albums released in Europe (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
Nominator's rationale: Delete Not a sufficiently defining characteristic. Albums of significance that have not been released are pretty rare, especially in the digital age. This category (and similar ones for other continents) will only create clutter without any significant information benefit. Pichpich (talk) 15:41, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - categorizing media by where it's released is untenable because of the number of categories it would involve. Even if restricted to the continent level that's still as many as six categories that offer little to nothing in the way of encyclopedic value. Harley Hudson (talk) 17:52, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom--this would be a completely unwieldy and trivial category. —Justin (koavf)T☮C☺M☯ 18:32, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete – difficult to see why its one article has been 'released in Europe' rather than anywhere else. Occuli (talk) 19:14, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Per nom. Only one entry too?! Maybe a list of albums only ever released in Europe (or never released in Europe) might be interesting. Maybe. Lugnuts (talk) 18:29, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Delete. Only two articles and two subcats--one of which only has one article. —Justin (koavf)T☮C☺M☯ 00:09, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep – there seems now (after several additions) to be enough material to support an eponymous category. Occuli (talk) 09:11, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep As it stands now, there is enough material to justify retention. Alansohn (talk) 06:36, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
