Hi, Jimbo protected this, citing WP:OFFICE, on 1/23. I noticed that you unprotected it on March 5. While I'd normally agree that this is too long for it to have been protected, it's my understanding that only Jimbo or Danny are to lift protections done under WP:OFFICE (which generally means the principal has contacted the WMF with some valid concern about libel or defamation). Why are blankeet deletions and insertion re-writes by Masonic Editors like MSJapan not considered vandalism? Why is it always when editors who are non-masonic or critical of Freemasonry make edits using the criteria Masonic editors use that there is intervention? Seems like a double standard. I point in particular to the blanket deletion of external links by MSJapan, his lack of edit summaries, and the misleading information he later provides on the talk page. Hi, I noticed you were the user to add the Non-alphanumeric characters guidance into the Wikipedia:Naming conventions article. I've been struggling with what to do with a case concerning the name of a software program (and related article). The case is a program named ]project Open[. The article has been titled )Project open(. According to the guidelines in WP:NC, this possibly fits under "page names should not begin with non alpha-numeric (A-Z,0-9) characters used solely for emphasis". To me, it seems like it's worse that it uses decorative characters in the name, especially substitute decorative characters since the square brackets do not work. In addition, it seems inappropriate to use these decorative characters in the opening sentence in the article and throughout the article, as well as links pointing to the article. It looks messy and pretentious, and in English these characters have no meaning but merely reflect the logo they have chosen.

If you have any ideas on what to do with such an article, please let me know. Maybe a change to the style guide would help. There is another case -- the article Oneworld -- in which one of the editors insists the style of the logo be used even in the opening sentence, causing it to appear oneworld. I think some guidance needs to be created on these silly corporate naming conventions. \it doesn't say why this ip specifically has just been blocked? It doesn't seem to have an extraordinary history of vandalism, certianly not recent, could people please provide examples of why AOL ranges are being blocked from now on?

I am of the opinion that the Ted Kennedy article is one of the few (like George W. Bush that needs perpetual sprotection. Keep an eye on it over the next few days now that the sprotect is gone. 95% of the activity on the page will be anon vandalism and reverts. Hi, I'm wondering why you deleted the article Joshua Blahyi without sending it to AfD, even though the article clearly falls under none of the criteria for speedy deletion, namely that it wasn't patent nonsense, it wasn't a test page or vandalism, it wasn't recreated deleted material, or from a banned user, or very short without context, in a foreign language, or a copyright violation, etc. I don't mean to be rude, but please recreate the article, and, if you feel it doesn't belong on Wikipedia, list it on AfD. Hi, if I might impose on you, I have a question. I'm keeping an eye on Garden railway and there's been a little friendly back and forward over the link to LSOL.com. I think it probably shouldn't be there because much of the material on that site is only available to paid subscribers. Others think its a useful resource to link to which has good free stuff available too. Both viewpoints have merit and we are a long, long way from needing anything as drastic as the various measures at WP:DR. Do you know of a Wikipedia forum where I can ask questions like this, without invoking a formal mediation or the like. Basically I want to ask wiser heads than mine how to interpret Wiki policy and guidelines. I'd appreciate any advice you can give, if you have the time.
