2020[edit]

  • December 2019: 188 cases, 90,196 articles per bot, likely around 91,000, 16 from 2010.
  • January 2020: 186 cases, ~140,000 articles per bot, likely around 110,000 once pruned, 15 from 2010.
  • February 2020: 185 cases, 113,754 articles per bot, likely around 113,000, 14 from 2010
  • March 2020: 181 cases, 104,656 articles per bot, 13 from 2010
  • April 2020: 178 cases, 99,045 articles per bot, 12 from 2010
  • May 2020: 179 cases, 97,652 articles per bot, 12 from 2010
  • June 2020: 179 cases, 98,964 articles per bot, 12 from 2010
  • July 2020: 175 cases, 98,790 articles per bot, 11 from 2010
  • August 2020: 177 cases, 96,678 articles per bot, 10 from 2010
  • September 2020: 180 cases, 96,051 articles per bot, 10 from 2010
  • October 2020: 185 cases, 99228+ articles, 10 from 2010

My intention for 2020 is solely to focus on WP:CCI and try to get that backlog reasonable at long last. Short term, if we can get to 175 open cases and 80k articles to check that will help. Ideally, 150 and 60k my the end of the year and everything from 2010 and 2016 done (2016 was only one case somehow). Wizardman 23:32, 26 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Took a skim through it; for the most part I agree with everything you'd say, though I'd consider Craigy a lot harder now that Burke's Peerage is behind a paywall. Didn't use to be when i did parts of it in like 14-15, sadly. Wizardman 00:40, 10 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Philadelphia Phillies all-time roster[edit]

As a last-ditch effort I wanted to see if you'd be interested in updating the Philadelphia Phillies all-time roster lists. Therapyisgood (talk) 12:26, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'll try to start up on that today, can't make any guarantees though. Plugging in names is easy enough to update all-time rosters but there's way more detail in the Phillies ones (same reason I never got to the Orioles or Mets ones). Wizardman 14:17, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you're interested in editing the main page text, you're welcome to do so at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/June 29, 2020.—Wehwalt (talk) 01:33, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the article, about "a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame", "an article that has a rather unique history. Back in 2008, this became part of a WikiProject Baseball article improvement drive, as we saw a few Hall of Famers who had rather poor articles. It became a GA easily, and for the moment that was all. In December 2010, I saw him back in the news again due to his cancer diagnosis, and restarted work on it to try and bring it here. I realized that the prose wasn't really all that good, and over the past several months have essentially rewritten the entire article. He unfortunately died last month, and further modifications were again done to the article. The article was made tougher to modify because he was known as a nice, quiet guy; it's a lot easier to write about someone if they are (at least a little bit) verbose or controversial, as there's more to sink your teeth into."! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:26, 29 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Rating of Thomas Dillon, 4th Viscount of Dillon[edit]

Dear Wizardman. You were so kind as to rate the article Thomas Dillon, 4th Viscount Dillon at 15:56 on the 25 June 2020. You upgraded its rating from Start-Class to B. Thank you so much! MilHistBot ran again on the article at 00:45 on 26 June 2020 and rated it C, because the article failed B1, ("is suitably referenced and cited."). It is of course difficult to establish for a human, and a fortiori for a bot, where citations are needed and whether given citations are adequate. I have the impression that MilHistBot simply checks whether there is citation whatsoever at the end of each paragraph. The article in question fulfils that simplistic criterion. I suspect it failed B1 because it contains collapsed tables (at the time of the rating there was only one such table, named Timeline). I suspect MilHistBot treats tables as paragraphs of text and expects a citation at the end. I wonder whether MilHistBot should not also look at the frequency of citations. The article in question has a prose size of 1376 words and comprises 73 citations, meaning that there is a citation for every 19 words. For comparison, the recent FA John FitzWalter, 2nd Baron FitzWalter, has 4005 words for 87 citations i.e. 46 words per citation. Thank you so much for all your hard word! Yes, please do. I dunno what NPOV, OR & SPS are, but he's removed referenced facts. Dick Tidrow and Bobby Floyd being the best examples. Side note, I talked on the phone with Dan Napoleon's son earlier today. There's very little on his dad on the net. Hi Wizardman,

First, thank you for listing the Weng Weng article to B-class. I truly appreciate it.

I noticed a lot of the articles you have worked on are listed as good. I recently nominated Brandon Lee. It failed, the reviewer who gave feedback, had some good and reasonable things to say. As well as stuff that I found bad, including elements of his re-write.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Brandon_Lee/GA1#GA_Review

I resolved many of these elements and I believe the article is almost there, with more. Currently, the only element of missing of his career is how Lee got into character for the film The Crow.

Check it out, if you have the time or want to take the time obviously, and let me know.Filmman3000 (talk) 16:56, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:21, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Disruption @ HOA[edit]

I would like to bring to your attention User:Ayaltimo for disruption on multiple articles. The user is not following WP:CYCLE for ex; the user removed content from an article [4] and tells me to go to the talk page [5] reverts back in the middle of a discussion without getting consensus [6]. Follows me on another page to revert [7]. Even in talk pages theres issues with this user who is dishonest about their position. The user claims that the subject (Yusuf) in the article was a founder [8] [9] but then backs out and says Umar is the founder and accuses me of opposing my own edit by claming I opposed the initial edit that he was the ancestor of the founder. [10] This was clearly not the case as i've stated on the talk page twice that Yusuf was an ancestor, this is highly disruptive since its misleading to uninvolved editors watching this dispute. [11] [12] [13]. This section of wikipedia is facing severe disruption, [14] can something be done here about this user? Magherbin (talk) 06:35, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to say this has been already been reviewed by the moderator EdJohnston as my witness where three users including Magherbin who has been engaging in an edit war with multiple users on multiple pages has already been warned. [15] He likes to play the victim when actually he was worse by warring with two users from two pages removing sourced content without consulting them on the talk page. [16] [17] [18] [19] He has made false accusations on the edit warring noticeboard which is why no serious action has been taken except for both of us getting a warning. [20] The issue has been already been resolved. This is getting tiring if he's just going to continue to run to different moderators just because he doesn't accept the outcome by the previous moderator especially the administers noticeboard for edit warring. He's simply wasting people's time. Ayaltimo (talk) 06:51, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The noticeboard was about editwarring but thats not the only issue here, there's also your conduct. This is it right here when the user says "without consulting them", Ayaltimo appeared on that page after following my edits, the user doesnt understand that when new content is challenged you must discuss your edits on the talk page and come to a consensus. Prior to Ayaltimos arrival on the page, this user had added disputed new content which I removed [21] and the user also removed content that was on the page for a while [22]. Ayaltimos highly disruptive as the user makes changes mid discussion unilaterally [23] and then claims their own edit is vandalism and reverts [24], this I believe is to deliberately mislead editors on the page. Magherbin (talk) 07:26, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Like I said the issue has already been resolved. You can stop deceiving and wasting people's time. We have both been warned unless we break a rule again then no action will be taken but to respond to your misleading points. A highly disruptive user is someone who engages in edit wars with multiple users on multiple pages as I showed above. You failed to come up with a consensus on the talk page and simply removed content without discussing it with us. What you have is an agenda on Wikipedia. The other user didn't remove your source the second time. He posted a more balanced Pov where his sources criticize your theoretical source and you removed it because it didn't align with your views again showing your agenda. You even told him to stop edit warring. [25] That's when I stepped in because you were being disruptive and broke the rules by reverting the page three times in just less than 24 hours. [26] We tried to conversate with you on the talk page and made our points very clear while you barely made any attempt to challenge our sources but instead, you reverted our edits without consulting us and you have the nerve to call everyone else disruptive when the problem is just only you? As for Afar people's page. I removed the Yasin source because it was not credible and he is not a peer-reviewed historian when you look him up. I came up with multiple reliable sources disproving it and you failed to challenge my argument. Even another user got involved seeing the error from your source. [27] You didn't discuss properly and simply reverted back. [28] You also engaged in an edit war with another user on the Zeila page. [29] Just removing content without discussing them on the talk page seems to be your specialty and on top of that. You accuse me of following when on the Ethiopian-Adal war article, you followed me showing a clear retaliatory behaviour when I was only reverting edits from a highly suspected sock puppet on that page. Reporter104 and his other confirmed sock named Parker8 and Lancer1295 were highly vandalizing that page. When they all got banned they resorted to using their IP by adding unexplained and unsourced additions a similar behaviour shown by Reporter104 socks. I wasn't the only one reverting the IP's vandalism so was the moderator named Materialscientist. [30] He then made a new account named Rogeman123 and even reverted one of the administers edit. [31] This user is known for his persistent sock puppetry behaviour and I've requested page protection [32] for the persistent sockpuppetry then guess who shows up? A disruptive editor. [33] actually copying my phrases and doing revenge attacks. A clear violation of Wikipedia policy and I attempted using good faith by reverting back to his revision [34]. The reason why he lacks good faith is because he shows no sign of interest to discuss with other editors on the talk page when they've clarified their content. This pattern shown by Magherbin is what you consider disruptive.
Two other users called you out for being a deliberate disruptive editor [35] because you have an ethnonational agenda, you try to impose Harla/Berber connection to northern Somali related articles which your sources don't state anything like that which is original research again violating the rules of Wikipedia. You have a history of sock-puppetry. [36] You have no right to accuse anyone of being disruptive when you have a troublesome history and still continue to show the same troublesome behaviour. Ayaltimo (talk) 10:20, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Actually Ethiopian-Adal war was on my watchlist before you even signed up to wikipedia and I even edited that page back in August reverting the sock account you mentioned called reporter [37]. Ayaltimo is a new editor trying to impose their will on pages and if they arent stopped in their tracks, the project will be in harms way. For someone that eventually agreed with my edits and admitted they were wrong, this change of heart is obviously puzzling [38]. There's too much deflection here for me to respond to atm but let me reply to the accusation of original research, user states that im using original research with no diffs hence baseless attacks. The same accusation was made on the talk page [39] however in the edit summary of its removal the user claims its a weak source [40]. Magherbin (talk) 11:33, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't matter if you contributed to the page last August. You followed me and conducted a revenge attack which I will explain. I reverted one of the IP's edits who was adding unexplained and unsourced additions a similar behaviour exhibited by the previous sock master (Roporter104) who vandalized that page. My edit for reverting the IP's user was on the 6th of December. [41] How am I necessarily damaging the page when I am just reverting plain vandalism? I wasn't the only one so was the moderator named Materialscientist who also reverted vandalism from the same IP user I was engaging with. [42] You only reverted my edit on the 8th of December. [43] The same day you removed other editors content without consulting with them on the talk page. [44] and the day before that you were engaging in an edit war with another user in Zeila page. [45] Going back to Ethiopian-Adal war you reverted my changes to the IP's revision who multiple users combated with including the moderator so if anyone is damaging articles it's clearly you. The article originally had Somali forces but you changed it into Adal forces with no references backing it. [46] That is clear vandalism and the same behaviour as the previous sock. You even reported me for reverting the IP's user when a moderator reverted his edit too. You planned this just so you can get me into trouble but it has been reviewed by the noticeboard and you have been warned. I've shown you above these are not my opinions when it comes to you being a disruptive editor with a dangerous motive and many users agree with on this. Cleaning up Special:WantedTemplates[edit]

Hi, due to quirks in the way that Wikipedia parses javascript pages, curly braces are parsed as templates, unless they are inside of <nowiki>...</nowiki>, <pre>...</pre>, <syntaxhighlight>...</syntaxhighlight> ... As a result of this, your script page, User:Wizardman/vector.js, is generating links in Special:WantedTemplates (in particular links to Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:" + db + " and Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:" + db + type + "). Recently, an interface editor attempted to fix this by adding <nowiki> at the top and </nowiki> at the bottom of your script page. This didn't work because you already have <nowiki>...</nowiki> on that page. It would be great if you could add <syntaxhighlight>...</syntaxhighlight> tags (you don't have these) at the top and bottom of your page like this which will prevent your page from generating links in Special:WantedTemplates. Reverted Content Removal - Gold[edit]

Hello,

I reverted an edit you made to remove an unsourced paragraph on the article Gold. HERE

I searched very briefly and located an excellent source that supported the paragraph well restored the content along with a citation. I was going to leave a note here that it would have been better to flag it needing a citation then to remove it. The amount of experience you have here compelled me to see why you removed it. Your next edit was to a CCI investigation HERE.

I went back to double check and read both the source and the paragraph over again and I didn't find any evidence that it was pasted or copied in any way, but it very well could have been from somewhere else. I checked the CCI history and found that the edits the user had made to the Gold article HERE and HERE had no connection the paragraph removed. The investigation was noted this content removal was associated to the user and that is not accurate.

I felt it best to explain my actions at that point and bring the issue to your attention for further correction.

Seeking assistance editing an article[edit]

Hi @Wizardman:

I am a student who is new to Wikipedia. In one of my subjects, I am editing and updating the China-Pakistan Free Trade Agreement article. I saw that you edited a similar article (China - Pakistan relations) and was wondering if you would be able to provide me with some feedback and help me improve the article I am editing.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! :)

How we will see unregistered users[edit]

Hi!

You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.

When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.

Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.

If you have not seen it before, you can read more on Meta. If you want to make sure you don’t miss technical changes on the Wikimedia wikis, you can subscribe to the weekly technical newsletter.

We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. You can let us know on the talk page. You can write in your language. The suggestions were posted in October and we will decide after 17 January.

Thank you. /Johan (WMF)

How good is your memory?[edit]

Hi. Thanks for your support at my RFA. I don't know if you remember this. I guess you just showed up nine years too early. Cheers. Whpq (talk) 18:24, 4 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:23, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

AFDs[edit]

Hello, Wizardman,

Thank you for weighing in on all of those NECBL AFD nominations. It would have been simpler if this had been a bundled nomination but it wasn't. There are always a few AFD discussions like this that get no attention and they can be a challenge to close. Offering your opinion on these is appreciated. Liz Read! An admin for my ANI[edit]

Hello! I have openend an ANI a few days ago, and no admin seems to want to have a look at it. Therefore, could you review this ANI case of mine? Thanks in advance. Veverve (talk) 10:18, 14 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Calling user MrOllie to your attention regarding an ANI[edit]

Hi there. I am calling your attention to a dispute between I and MrOllie.

  • I made edits to the Monty Hall problem article.
  • These were reverted by EEng.
  • I realized from his comment, "how amusing", he had reverted my changes due to a typo, whereby I said "Monty Python problem" instead of "Monty Hall problem". This led EEng to believe my edits were in bad faith, which is why he reverted them.
  • In turn, I reimplemented my edits correcting this typo.
  • WatkynBassett reverted my reimplementation under the impression I was in an edit war. We resolved this issue at his talk page, where he told me to explicitly post to EEng's talk page.
  • I posted to EEng's talk page and received confirmation the reason my changes were undone was most likely due to the typo. We reached a consensus my changes were alright to reimplement provided I correct the typo.
  • I reimplemented my changes.
  • MrOllie reverts my changes.
  • MrOllie posts to my talk page, saying I am engaging in an edit war and my account is going to be restricted.
  • I explain the situation, which MrOllie ignores, telling me I need to post to the talk page for the Monty Hall problem, even though a consensus had already been reached.
  • UPDATE: After I post to the Monty Hall problem talk page, he briefly comments "This complicates the explanation for no clear benefit. The older, simpler calculation is preferable." This is his entire response to my argument pro-edits, including three detailed bullet points in favor of why they are beneficial to the proof, which he does not remotely address. He provides no examples of how my proof is problematic, even after I invited him to on my talk page.

My understanding is that MrOllie is needlessly creating bureaucratic hassles in order to exert power over others, regardless of the effect this has on Wikipedia articles. This is a pattern of behavior I noticed on the talk page of MrOllie. may not have sound premises when he is reverting changes.

As just one example of this happening in the past, on his talk page, another user reached out about him arbitrarily undoing her changes a disagreement the two were having. She gives a detailed account of why he was incorrect in doing so. MrOllie's response: "Yawn. Where's that arbitration you were threatening? I'm waiting." This shows that it is possible MrOllie may not be fully engaging in discussion about the specifics of the disagreement as much as he is trying to get the upper-hand. [This is the discussion to which I am referring.]

A discussion has been started at the talk page for the Monty Hall problem, so I am happy to discuss the issue further at that page. That said, I would still like to make sure that this pattern of behavior disagreement is examined by a moderator so that it does not continue to disrupt the Wikipedia in the future.

Your weighing in would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

GabeTucker (talk) 03:06, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker) While you wait for that, GabeTucker, I'll weigh in. Civility is policy here, and Assume good faith is an important guideline. Your comment that "MrOllie is needlessly creating bureaucratic hassles in order to exert power over others, regardless of the effect this has on Wikipedia articles" is completely unacceptable from both these angles. You will be blocked if you attack MrOllie (or anybody else) in such a way again. Please see my fuller comment on your own page. Bishonen | tålk 07:03, 16 January 2023 (UTC).[reply]
I said "My understanding is that..." to acknowledge that my understanding may not necessarily reflect reality. Regardless, I apologize for not assuming good faith—I have updated my post to use more neutral terminology and to better refrain from judgements. Question about copyright problems[edit]

Since you're the only other person who edited that day's version of the page, I was wondering if you could tell me if what I did here was actually the correct course of action? I'm a bit confused on the venue or if I'm potentially overreacting to what's nessecary. Clovermoss🍀 (talk) 23:32, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Short answer yes. Generally a copyright tag is also put on the page but since it's only a sentence that's not a big deal. Venue is correct, yes. Wizardman 23:41, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Why was the Michael Aquino page (and the talk page related to it) deleted twice?[edit]

It's very odd considering he's a notable public figure, having been involved in the Church of Satan, started the Temple of Set, wrote the US army document PSYOP to MINDWAR, and served as a psyops officer in the US army. For all traces of him to be wiped from Wikipedia by a guy whose bio is just a dude touching a crystal ball is very strange. 69.113.236.26 (talk) 03:32, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

copyvio content from banned user[edit]

Would you please explain the above phrase, which was your reason for removing material from Benjamin Butler? I am not challenging your edit; I'm just curious. Does "copyvio" mean "copyright violation"? If so, how do you know it is a copyright violation? What is a banned user, and, if a banned user makes a good edit, must it be removed? If it must, then can a non-banned user put it back? Finally, is there a connection between "copyvio" and "banned user," or are they independent reasons for removing the material? Sopronbánfalva[edit]

Hi. Thanks for your work on fixing the article. But are you sure you've removed all the copyrighted text? I've looked over it and there are still some iffy sentences. For example, (After the communist takeover, probably, Hungary was the only country in the Soviet Bloc where such a strong – albeit hidden – criticism from the church would have hit the Soviet leadership.) has very non-encyclopedic langage ("probably"???) and sounds awfully like this copyrighted sentence: (jó eséllyel Magyarország a szovjet blokk egyetlen országa, ahol a kommunista hatalomátvétel után az egyház részéről ilyen erős, bár bújtatott kritika érte volna a szovjet vezetést/there is a good chance that Hungary is the only country in the Soviet bloc where, after the communist takeover, such strong, albeit hidden, criticism from the church would have hit the Soviet leadership.) Notice how "good chance" was paraphrased into "probably". That's just once example, I can provide more if you need. BTW, do you speak Hungarian? Azure94 (talk) 16:30, 7 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Wizardman,
Thanks for rewrote the article for better English! Originally I wrote the chapter in the Sopronbánfalva article. I did not know that writing a non-existent English text from an other language would be a problem. Next time I will be more careful. As you could see not every sentences were the same as in the source, however Azure94 deliberately deleted the full chapter with church images instead of fix those sentences giving an extra job for you. In the reality Azure94 does not care with the copyright or with the article, as personal revenge, he just follows me in articles what I edited, and he is focusing exclusively only on my edits to make continuous conflicts. Azure94 said to you, it was a big problem for him that I translated a non English, Hungarian text "good chance" to "probably", while some hours later he copy-pasted a longer English text words by words in an article where he followed my edit [47][48]. Which means he does not care with the copyright in his case. Here Talk:Gesta Hungarorum#Dennis Deletant, he said "Be more careful next time" because I did not copy-pasted exactly the same text to avoid copyright issue, then he copy-pasted the text from the English source.
However I have no problem with those edits by Azure94, just I pointed out his obsession and double standard. Because we are using and following sources, this way I think almost all things in the Wiki are paraphrased, I think we could delete the half Wikipedia due to the strict copyright measures. OrionNimrod (talk) 09:46, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Wizardman Thanks for the quick response. Can I ask you your opinion about one more paragraph? "Painting Apor" does not make any grammatical sense to me, which makes me feel it was translated crudely from the news article. And "painter was not satisfied" reads like a direct translation of "a festő azonban nem érte be ennyivel", which again tells me that this section was merely google translated before it was copied to Wikipedia: (Painting Apor was in itself a testament to considerable courage in the beginning of the Stalinist Rákosi era, which built up total terror. However, the painter was not satisfied with that: above the gallery, the triumph of Saint Michael the Archangel over Satan is depicted, but his defeated face was inspired by the Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin.) The copyrighted original reads: (A halála körülményeivel országos méretű felháborodást kiváltó Apor a totális terrort kiépítő Rákosi-kor derekán való megmintázása már önmagában is jókora bátorságra vallott, a festő azonban nem érte be ennyivel: a karzat fölött ugyanis Szent Mihály arkangyal ördög feletti diadalát látjuk, a legyőzött arcát azonban az ekkor még ereje teljében lévő szovjet diktátor, Sztálin ihlette./The fact that Apor, who caused nationwide outrage with the circumstances of his death, modeled it on the waist of the Rákosi period, which built up total terror, was in itself a sign of great courage, but the painter was not satisfied with that: above the gallery we see the triumph of the archangel Saint Michael over the devil, but his defeated face inspired by the Soviet dictator, Stalin, who was still in power) Again, thank you for your work cleaning up the section. Azure94 (talk) 14:39, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Wizardman, I would like to show you that your recent copyright correction was just a harassment tool against me, and today 3 weeks later Azure94 removed even those contents what you restored.
I would like to show a very intense personal harassment campaign against me by Azure94 and he uses the "copyright tool" just for the harassment involving the admins giving them extra job. He has not much own edits, his campaign to remove all my edits from Wikipedia, he also remove my added images from articles, and all other sourced reliable academic contents just because I added those.
In July:
Because of long debate on other talk pages, edit war by Azure94 against academic sources: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Hungary#Agressive edit war on Hungarian topics. Often naming me "troll, bizarre, schizophrenic" [49][50][51] same profane insults with a very respected editor after following my edits:1. Then Azure94 intentionally followed me to many articles as revenge, he exclusively edited almost only those articles what I edited recently, and started exclusively harass my edits on these pages.
A small settlement had a few lead sentence, I added a church and fresco history, then Azure94 deliberately removed the full chapter because of "copyright", instead of fix those minor things giving an extra job for the admins: Sopronbánfalva [52] In the reality Azure94 does not care with the copyright or with the article, he just follows me in articles what I edited as personal revenge to make continuous conflicts. Wizardman from the copyright team, slightly changed and restored the content, then Azure94 scolded the admin that he is not satisfied, he wants more removal of my content: [53] User talk:Wizardman#Sopronbánfalva In other way, Azure94 said, it is a "big copyright problem" that I translated a non English, Hungarian text "good chance" to "probably" [54], while some hours later he copy-pasted a very long English text words by words in an article where again he followed my edit: [55][56]. Which means he does not care with the copyright in his case. Here Talk:Gesta Hungarorum#Dennis Deletant, he said "Be more careful next time" because I did not copy-pasted exactly the same text to avoid copyright issue, then he copy-pasted the text word by word from the English source.
3 weeks later, in August:
Azure94 did not do any edit 3 weeks long, but he suddenly appeared and exclusively started again bigger intensity to follow only my older contributions which are presented on my user pages. Azure94 has not much own edits, he started exclusively delete only my contents in many different articles as personal harrasment, and he did all this only within 1 hour! period, which clearly show his personal harrasment intentions and not the deep knowledge in many different articles.
Within 1 hour period:
Copyright team slightly modified and restored my content, but he removed even more content: Sopronbánfalva [57]
He removed academic sourced content what I added recently: Bratislava [58]
He wanted to remove all my edits: Ladislaus I of Hungary [59]
He removed my personally captured photos: Anonymus (notary of Béla III) [60]
He wants delete my old edits:Turul [61]
He wants delete my old edits: Seven chieftains of the Magyars [62]
He wants delete my old edits: Attila [63]
He wants delete my old edits: Albert Wass [64]
I created this article earlier, the topic is about an old illustrated book, a series of king portraits, illustrations are the essence which are used in many medieval articles, all relevant and have descriptions, he removed all of them (c.15,000 characters): Nádasdy Mausoleum [65]
I wrote the full article (my version), the topic is about an old medieval famous illustrated book, illustrations are the essence which are used in many medieval articles, all relevant, they are listed separate and have a long descriptions (as many articles has a list), he removed all of them (c.48,000 characters), this is cleary a vandalism: Chronica Hungarorum [66] Some minutes later he removed completely the full article (even no word remains) based on allegedly copyright only because I wrote it many months ago: [67]
As we can see, he has a great obsession to critize my every single edits to perish them, even Azure94 checked my content with a tool 1 My academic source is a desrciption from an open Hungarian state library about a medieval book, however my article is quite complex and different not a copy pasted contents word by words as Azure did in his edits as I presented above. That tool show matches like: "At the end of the", "history of the Hungarians", "medieval Hungarian chronicles", "The Augsburg edition had two versions". I do not know how should I write different these things, should we add copyright protection to every single English words because everybody else using them? These basic essential matches is the nature of the topic. It is clear this is a deliberate teasing. He is not interest to make the article great and useful for the readers, he totally removed my well detailed modern multimedia content to zero: (my version) OrionNimrod (talk) 11:33, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The way you're throwing around walls of text full of baseless accusations and conspiracy theories, all written in very broken English, reminds me very heavily of KIENGIR's modus operandi. If you honestly believe that me putting a template asking for gallery cleanup is "very brutal personal harassment" then go file a WP:RFAA. Azure94 (talk) 12:29, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:24, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Happy New Year![edit]

Happy New Year!
Hello Wizardman:

Did you know ... that back in 1885, Wikipedia editors wrote Good Articles with axes, hammers and chisels?

Thank you for your contributions to this encyclopedia using 21st century technology. I hope you don't get any unnecessary blisters.

Wow[edit]

Thank you for your huge contributions towards cleaning up Wikipedia:Contributor copyright investigations/Marylandstater! Been seeing that on my watchlist the past few months and am very pleased it's finally been completed. Elli (talk | contribs) 03:27, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Courtesy blanking[edit]

Hi - a while ago you were kind enough to undertake courtesy blanking of some completed sections of Wikipedia:Contributor copyright investigations/20220720. I'm pleased to report that Section 1: Pages 1-1000 has now been completed. I was hoping you'd again be willing to courtesy blank that section. My only concern is that, as the first Section, it also contains some introductory material about the case, and I'm not sure it would be appropriate to blank that? But you will know better than I. Thanks in anticipation. KJP1 (talk) 13:05, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. It’s done. KJP1 (talk) 21:43, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I see MER-C beat me to it, all good, thanks for working on that! Wizardman 22:45, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Fix a random page lacking sources

CactiStaccingCrane (talk)18:56, 1 February 2024 UTC [refresh]via JWB and Geardona (talk to me?)

Hi @Wizardman, thanks again for clearing copypasted content in District cooling after I raised it on 11 February. I just wanted to give a quick heads-up that there were actually 2 sections that copypasted from the same source, although I could have made that clearer - the other is currently under Dehumidifying but takes up the entirety of the 'Benefits' section.

Apologies for the confusion there! I also wasn't sure where I should send this message - here, under your reply to the 11 Feb copyvio, or by posting a new request under today's copyvio page. Or even just by removing it myself! If one of these would have been more appropriate, please accept my further apologies; if you could let me know for future reference if that is the case, that'd be great! Cheers, Irltoad (talk) 16:38, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'll take a second look later, looks like unfortunately the tool I use to check is down right now. Wizardman 23:22, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ruigeroeland[edit]

Howdy. I hope you are doing well. I noticed that you added a PD template to a source published in 1929. Should I do the same, or should I continue leaving them alone? Scorpions1325 (talk) 02:06, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thought I had the timing right on the numbering, guess I didn't; I can revert that if desired for the time being. Wizardman 02:19, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
