Request reason:

I was just talking to Wikipedans on their talk pages; haven't vandalized an article before. Wikiafripedia (talk) 9:52 am, Today (UTC−4)

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. only (talk) 14:21, 28 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Hello Jauerback. Please understand that if even though certain articles such as Hushpuppi might not be notable to be included here based on the judgement of some Wikipedia editors. I might have the right to ask for it to be relocated to an encyclopedia such as Wikiafripedia where it maybe accepted and developed because I felt it was worthy of an encyclopedic coverage because the world needed a detail article on the subject, and per my little research there were enough information from independent sources to create it, that's why on Wikiafripedia it has over 20 reliable citations/references.

I have never, nor have I ever conceived of such thoughts as disruption or insisting such act on Wikipedia. If truth be told I really admired Wikipedia for its has inspired wonderful Wikimedia projects such as Commons and Wikidata for which even Wikiafripedia makes use of. And I never failed to give credit to Wikipedia where due and I believe if Wikiafripedia were to be capable it would not failed to sent donations to the Wikimedia Foundation to defend her independence for they also make used of the Mediawiki.

Moreover, if you are true to your mission of developing educational content and making sure they are accessible, free of charge globally in perpetuity, you will not try to block those who share that dream even though they do not which to build it entirely on your principles or platform.

Africa and other third-war regions of the world has the least number of quality contents everywhere on the web; I commend your effort (from your Afripedia project to the WikiLove Africa initiatives) at trying to change that. However, unless you're not well informed, what is preventing great contributions from most of these regions isn't majorly 'internet access' or gadgets (most Africans have access to both) but the cost of maintaining subscription with an ISP. Facebook understood it and made a data free site to cushion this burden. But at present no encyclopedia have tried to lessen the burden on our students. Wikiafripedia might have figured out a way to motivate/encourage more contributions from these people. They may have thought like Robert Bosch: offer more incentives but maintain the rules and see the tasks get done (may quickly...). So in essence, I am not here to destroy but to build towards the same vision a bit differently though; no one just starting out now can claim to be against Wikipedia, not even Quora. Your projects are almost flawless (almost as the workings of nature) and we can only hope to improve it while towing the same path and not the other way around.

Decline reason:

None of that appears to bear any resemblance to an unblock request. If you want to be unblocked, you need to make it clear that you understand why you were blocked, and explain what you would do differently if unblocked. And please try to be concise. In line with Walter Lewin's last words to Quora when he was blocked there: unless you are Jimmy Wales, good luck. Wikiafripedia (talk) 17:27, 28 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
