the prism monochromator[edit]

I just looked at the photo of the prism monochromator you added. Thank you for that. There are many ways to construct a monochromator, and this is one I had not seen before. I wonder though about your choice of the word "reflecting" to describe it. I am not sure I understand the path that light is intended to take through the instrument. A diagram like the one shown for the Czery-Turner design would be helpful. The prism in the photo looks to be an equilateral prism. It appears possible to me that the light is intended to enter one face and exit through another, unlike the situation described with a right angle prism. Additions to Chinese Wikipedia[edit]

Hi User:Warren Leywon, I'm working on translating Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from English into Chinese and was wondering if you have time to help me out. I found your username on Wikipedia:Translate_us and saw that you're fluent in both English and Chinese. I have a paid COI regarding Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, but my primary concern here is ensuring that the information available in English is available and up to date in Chinese as well. I have a translated version of the article on SANDBOX. Would you mind reviewing it for accuracy as well as its compliance with Wikipedia guidelines? Thanks!--Chefmikesf (talk) 23:37, 27 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi User:Warren Leywon, My colleague has added more of the current edits to this sandbox. I believe this sandbox is closer in translation to the current English page. Do you mind taking a look?

The Wikimedia LGBTQ+ User Group is holding online working days in May. As a member of WikiProject LGBT studies, editing on LGBTQ+ issues or if you identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community, come help us set goals, develop our organisation and structures, consider how to respond to issues faced by Queer editors, and plan for the next 12 months.

We will be meeting online for 3 half-days, 14–16 May at 1400–1730 UTC. While our working language is English, we are looking to accommodate users who would prefer to participate in other languages, including translation facilities.

More information, and registration details, at QW2021.--Wikimedia LGBT+ User Group 03:00, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
