Disambiguation link notification for January 10[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2013 New England Patriots season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Daniel Thomas (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:53, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Indianapolis Colts Ring of Honor does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! List of serial rapists corrections thanks[edit]

You went over my edits and fixed the minor errors I made. First, I'd just like to say thanks. Second, I couldn't agree more, the majority of the offenders listed there should get their balls busted, so to speak. Though I do keep an open mind in mitigating circumstances, such as Billy Milligan having multiple personalities, but I generally hate violent crime. I was really hoping to work in cold case investigation, I admit, but I dropped that from being in over my head. ContributingHelperOnTheSide (talk) 21:35, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That Mulligan guy is an interesting case, but for the most part, rape is different from any other heinous crime in that you KNOW you are doing something wrong w/o any justification and enjoy harming innocent people for no reason. Even murderers can occasionally justify themselves.
And no problem about the edits. Just doing what I can to better educate the public. :) SteelersDiclonious (talk) 23:23, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I get that. The way I see it, pathological sex offenders don't get even more competence to go in a better direction than sex crimes, just enough to know what it is and not care to have more of an understanding that can make a conscience. And honestly, education is the reason why I'm expanding the list in the first place. I got dozens of offenders and URLs to sort through. ContributingHelperOnTheSide (talk) 12:07, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Good luck, man. SteelersDiclonious (talk) 12:38, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you wanna help, I can share what I found and we can collaborate to expand the list. I assume you're not too eager since you corrected minor errors, but I'm taking a while because of life and whatnot, so only if you're able and motivated. ContributingHelperOnTheSide (talk) 18:51, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Quick warning, though, I suck at checking other users' message walls regularly, but I've been on Fandom and communicated with one user by messaging between our walls, noting to each other under the same headers. That could work, because we're both alerting each other. ContributingHelperOnTheSide (talk) 18:52, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Appreciate the offer, but I only do minor edits. Good luck though. SteelersDiclonious (talk) 19:14, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
As I wrote, I kinda figured. Thanks or your candor. Good luck to you too with future edits. ContributingHelperOnTheSide (talk) 21:49, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
And to you too, good sir. SteelersDiclonious (talk) 01:55, 27 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A note on minor edits[edit]

Information icon Hi SteelersDiclonious! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Bakkster Man (talk) 15:44, 18 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

OK my apologies. I will remember that for next time. Thank you for explaining that to me. SteelersDiclonious (talk) 16:15, 18 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

January 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Magnolia677. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Ontario Line, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 21:46, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

My apology, you edit was in fact a cut-and-paste. Magnolia677 (talk) 22:59, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
