Creating articles about non-notable characters[edit]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, you may be blocked from editing. OhNoitsJamie Talk 16:10, 1 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects of articles must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources which are unconnected with the subject and which provide verifiable information. Someone unconnected with the subject needs to have written a great deal about the subject. --Deepfriedokra (talk) 16:16, 1 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
what this warning about? Volkan1881 (talk) 17:03, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Lawrence Gordon[edit]

Hello Vulcan. Looking over the Lawrence Gordan section on the Saw characters I have a few pointers in mind. first off there are no sources in that section and it will need to be expanded with reliable sources (i.e. books, interviews etc.) and in your own words. do that and you will get on track. Just try to not to do nonconstructive edits or edits that might be intrusive to the article itself. Anyways goodluck on the editing mate!--- Paleface Jack (talk) 17:19, 23 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits to Sex worker[edit]

You need to stop restoring years-old versions of this article without explaining your edits; it's very disruptive. Each of your edits has been contested, so per WP:BRD you need to open a discussion at Talk:Sex worker and seek consensus for your large-scale changes first. Your recent editing history at Sex worker shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring and violating the three-revert rule. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Daniel Case (talk) 21:23, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
