Hello, thanks for the suggestions. I have been quite Orwellian in my editing and have been able to reduce the article significantly, but there is a huge amount of information in the Androgenic alopecia section from the Management of baldness article, that is making it lopsided. As a physician, I know typically we divide baldness or alopecia up into androgenic alopecia, alopecia totalis, traction alopecia, and telogen effluvium (totalis and effluvium are what occur with chemotherapy) when we are evaluating in clinically, so I wanted the article (part of Wikiproject medicine) to mirror clinical and biomedical research. In this vein, I have created a separate "Management of androgenic alopecia" article to address androgenic treatment separately, and will leave "Management of baldness" as dealing with the larger 5 categories. Having problems with Belton1 deleting months of my work on those articles. Realize there were no edit summaries, but the edit summaries were on the talk page. When doing thousands of consecutive edits while rewriting articles I put summaries of the edits on the talk page. Please don't just come into an ongoing argument, have one sentence where you side with the other user, then disappear to give him license to vandalize the page. I have now gone back and deleted "only" my comments, save for two which can stay. Plaese leave them. Suddenly, my deleted messages were back, seconds after I deleted them. The MBE redirect on Nicola Benedetti allows the mouse over text to provide the name of the degree within the Order of the British Empire to which the recipient was appointed. When you link directly to the Order of the British Empire this information is missing (which requires the reader to return to the previous page). I'm happy with a direct link so long as you you're happy that the link now provides the name of the entire order instead of the 5th degree within the order.

(The best option would be to re-write the Order of the British Empire page to describe the different degrees then link the redirect to the sub-heading within the page).

I don't understand why you are going through the Teahouse Q/A forum and refactoring questions, removing URL's and replacing them with Wikilinks. Although this is technically correct, I was always told it is considered rude to refactor anyone else's entry on Wikipedia, even if what you are doing doesn't change the content and is technically correct. It is important that we make the new editors that bring their questions to the teahouse feel like they are in a safe environment, and someone else changing the format of their questions doesn't do that. As has been explained to you elsewhere "Managing Director" and "Corporate Executive" are sub-sets of "businessman". It's a "publicity" pic.

These are royalty free, rights free pics actors, authors, people who want to be in the public eye, sent out with their media packages and releases hoping someone will publishing it and give them some publicity. Every actor has one including Large.

No, if I move it to the mainspace it is not under review as it would be if it was in the articles for creation process. It may be better to move it into articles for creation for the moment, rather than directly into the main space, although articles in mainspace are always "under review" as anyone can edit them (subject to policies and guidelines of course). As for the images, what is their copyright status? If their copyright has expired, they can be uploaded to Commons and added to the draft immediately; if they are copyrighted and will be uploaded pursuant to the non-free content criteria, they will be uploaded to Wikipedia and cannot be added to the article until it is in mainspace. Copyright terms do not depend on the dates of death of the subjects. Can you determine how old the images are? If it is pretty clear that they meet one of the public domain tests listed at Template:PD-US, it should be OK to use them. If they are not public domain and if they are images of Behrens himself, we can probably use one (or at most 2) of them pursuant to the non-free content criteria, but that's a little more tricky.--ukexpat (talk) 20:07, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

I made this page Manish Sharma (businessman) on Manish Sharma who is the current Managing Director, Panasonic India. There are certain issues with the page, the biggest one being that Manish Sharma is being termed as a Non-notable Corporate Bureaucrat. In my opinion this is not correct. I understand that we need to provide proper facts/references to support it and here they are:

It was published in "Aerosol Technicomment" by Aerosol Techniques, Incorporated, volume XII, No. 2. The article, "Aerosol Industry Milestones, How It Began, and What Happened Afterward", by Lyle D. Goodhue, a consultant to Aerosol Techniques, included the photo. The original, after more than 70 years, has been lost, but copies of this publication are available in family files. Dr. Goodhue died in 1981 and Mrs. Goodhue in 1995, leaving the files to the family. I am their son, Jackson Goodhue, and I was in the kitchen when the picture was taken.````

Just want to let you know I replied to the contest the speedy deletion with details. I don't know if you or somebody else reviews the reasons I feel this is not spam and would like to know what needs to change versus other examples I've found, in order for it to not be considered spam. From the editor Hi, and welcome to the fourth issue of the Help Project newsletter. It's been another busy month in the world of Wikipedia help. The results from the in-person usability tests conducted as part of the help pages fellowship have been released. There are no great surprises here, the tests confirmed that people have trouble with the existing help system, and people looking for help on the same topic often end up at wildly different pages. Editors who experienced a tutorial and/or edited a sandbox as part of their learning were noticeably more confident when editing a real article. Drawing on that, three new "Introduction to" tutorials for new users have been created: referencing, uploading images and navigating Wikipedia. These join the popular existing introductions to policies and guidelines and talk pages. Feel free to edit them, but please do remember that the idea is to keep them simple and as free from extraneous details as possible. All three have been added to Help:Getting started, which is intended to be the new focal point for new editors, and will also be seeing a redesign soon. In other news, the Article Feedback Tool (AFT) can now be used to collect feedback on help pages. By default it has been deployed to all pages in the Help: namespace. It can be disabled on any page by adding Category:Article Feedback Blacklist, or enabled for pages in other namespaces by adding Category:Article Feedback 5 Additional Articles. Once a page has AFT applied, you can add feedback using the form which appears at the bottom of it. Feedback can be reviewed by clicking "View feedback" in the sidebar, or the "Feedback from my watched pages" link at the top of your watchlist. I'm now entering the final month of my fellowship, and will be focusing my efforts on making much needed improvements to Help:Contents, the main entrance point to our help system. It's been a pleasure working as a fellow, and I just want to thank all the people who have helped me or offered advice over the past months. That definitely won't be the end of my involvement in the Help Project though, I'll be sticking around as a volunteer and continuing to write this newsletter. Hey all :). We've just deployed another set of features for Page Curation. They include flyouts from the icons in Special:NewPagesFeed, showing who reviewed an article and when, a listing of this in the "info" flyout, and a general re-jigging of the info flyout - we've also fixed the weird bug with page_titles_having_underscores_instead_of_spaces in messages sent to talkpages, and introduced CSD logging! As always, these features will need some work - but any feedback would be most welcome.

There is nothing at the website to indicate that they are "free content" so we have to assume that they are copyrighted. If the company is prepared to license them in a way that is compatible with Commons (see WP:CONSENT for details) they can be undeleted. If not, the logo could be uploaded to Wikipedia (not Commons) per the non-free content criteria but the other image cannot.--ukexpat (talk) 02:35, 5 February 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for the explanation, I seem to be learning something constantly on wiki. The code writing at first was a challenge but that was minor compared to the guidelines. I will get the permissions taken care of on the photos before publishing again. Did you see anything wrong with the article itself?
