Hello TH1980. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "WhoWhere?".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/WhoWhere?}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 20:03, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for February 4[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Short Line Bridge, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Soo Line. Edit warring[edit]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

Korean influence[edit]

Thank you for your excellent contributions to the article Korean influence on Japanese culture. I know that there has been some resistance to expanding the article, but there are certainly more areas which could be expanded in the future than what you have already edited. It's possible that there may be opportunities in the future for us to work together to further expand the article. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. This arbitration case has been closed and the final decision is available at the link above. The following remedies have been enacted:

1) Catflap08 (talk · contribs) is indefinitely topic-banned from all pages relating to Nichiren Buddhism and its adherents, broadly construed. Appeals of this ban may be requested no earlier than twelve months since the date the case closed.

2.1) Subject to the usual exceptions, Catflap08 is prohibited from making any more than one revert on any one page in any 24-hour period. This applies for all pages on the English Wikipedia, except Catflap08's own user space. This restriction may be appealed to the Committee only after 12 months have elapsed from the closing of this case.

3) Hijiri88 (talk · contribs) is indefinitely topic-banned from all pages relating to Nichiren Buddhism and its adherents, broadly construed. Appeals of this ban may be requested no earlier than twelve months since the date the case closed.

4) Hijiri88 is indefinitely topic-banned from all pages relating to Japanese culture. Appeals of this ban may be requested no earlier than twelve months since the date the case closed.

5) Subject to the usual exceptions, Hijiri88 is prohibited from making any more than one revert on any one page in any 24-hour period. This applies for all pages on the English Wikipedia, except Hijiri88's own user space. This restriction may be appealed to the Committee only after 12 months have elapsed from the closing of this case.

6.1) TH1980 (talk · contribs) and Hijiri88 are indefinitely prohibited from interacting with, or commenting on, each other anywhere on Wikipedia (subject to the ordinary exceptions).

Discuss this at: Wikipedia talk:Arbitration Committee/Noticeboard#Catflap08 and Hijiri88 case closed

Hi TH1980. Without commenting on the particular content dispute above, please note that topics dealing with influences between countries are complex because sources claims sometimes conflict. In these cases, due weight is important to think about with regard to how much emphasis (if any) is placed on a particular claim, but also to consider the quality of the sources themselves, such if there is evidence that they lack editorial oversight, that a particular claim is generally considered fringe/extremist in other sources, and the credentials of the author. Consider that if something you've added is challenged on that basis, you should refer back to sources to evaluate that conflict in more detail. And if you are in disagreement, an RfC is always an option if there isn't much attention on the article. I, JethroBT drop me a line 12:56, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@TH1980 (talk · contribs)Concerning this topic, I know that you have expressed some frustration over having to correct all the errors that have been inserted in the article by another user, but I think the article certainly can be improved further just by adding in all the citations, most of which were already part of previous versions of the article. The article could be nominated for good article status after this sort work is complete.CurtisNaito (talk) 22:46, 26 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, I can do that. I've been working on something like that for a while.TH1980 (talk) 23:10, 26 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

topic ban[edit]

Pursuant to consensus at this ANI thread, this is formal notice that you are indefinitely topic banned from articles relating to Japan, broadly construed. Katietalk 13:06, 19 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I feel this topic ban was rammed through by Curly Turkey and his friends just to remove me and other editors they viewed as troublesome. Wikipedia is a website ruled by anarchy, and it needs massive reform.TH1980 (talk) 20:39, 19 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
FYI: The reason I made the above comment is because only six of the nineteen people who stated their opinion supported topic banning me from all articles related to Japan. The source of the confusion was that member Ricky81682 proposed that I "be topic banned from the Korean influence on Japanese culture". That was actually a page ban, not a topic ban. When other users came in saying that they "support a topic ban", they were referring to the original "topic ban from Korean influence on Japanese culture", which was a misnomer, not a topic ban applying to all Japan-related articles.
Here is how the following users voted:
  • Ricky81682=proposed Korean influence "topic ban"
  • TH1980=opposed
  • 1=Softlavender=supported Japan topic ban
  • Nishidani=supported "topic ban" proposed by Ricky81682
  • Homemade Pencils=opposed
  • Piotrus=opposed
  • 2=Curly Turkey=supported Japan topic ban
  • CurtisNaito=opposed
  • 3=Spacecowboy420=supported Japan topic ban
  • Tivanir2=supported "topic ban" proposed by Ricky81682
  • Johnuniq=supported "topic ban" proposed by Ricky81682
  • 4=Thomas.W=supported Japan topic ban
  • Blackmane=supported "topic ban" proposed by Ricky81682
  • KoreanSentry=opposed
  • Mackensen=supported "topic ban" proposed by Ricky81682
  • 5=Begoon=supported Japan topic ban
  • 6=Sturmgewehr88=supported Japan topic ban
  • H.Humbert=opposed
  • Seth Kellerman=supported "topic ban" proposed by Ricky81682
Six out of nineteen does not count as consensus. In fact, the thread was originally archived because a consensus was not reached, but Curley Turkey reactivated the thread. [[1]]TH1980 (talk) 01:31, 23 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

An amendment request, requesting suspension of Remedy 3 of Catflap08 and Hijiri88 case has been archived at Wikipedia talk:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Catflap08 and Hijiri88. The case has been amended as following:

Remedy 3 (Hijiri88: Topic ban (I)) of the Catflap08 and Hijiri88 arbitration case is suspended for a period of six months. During the period of suspension, this restriction may be reinstated by any uninvolved administrator, as an arbitration enforcement action, should Hijiri88 fail to adhere to any normal editorial process or expectations in the area defined in the topic ban remedy. After six months from the date this motion is enacted, if the restriction has not been reinstated or any reinstatements have been successfully appealed to the Arbitration Committee, the restriction will automatically lapse.

Passed 8 to 0 with 1 abstention by motion at 12:38, 2 January 2018 (UTC)

Bemmax you don’t need to message all those upholding the delete !vote rationale in the AFD but you may however lay your rationale in the AFD where other editors can weigh in & cast their own !votes. Furthermore for future sake I’d say the manner in which you name a new topic in talk pages of other editors is very confusing & misleading, a passer by may assume it is TH1980 article but for deletion whereas it is yours. Hello—You participated in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (American game show, season 21) which was closed as delete on 25 April 2020. A user re-created the article on 26 July 2020. The re-created article is identical to the article deleted 25 April and still does not address the WP guidelines in the AFD. I nominated the re-created article for deletion. Would you mind weighing in on the discussion? Thanks. AldezD (talk) 18:47, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
