A tag has been placed on DJ Romeo, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. DJ Romeo[edit]

Hi RomeoFan. The article can be allowed if it:

  • is written from a neutral point of view (i.e. not a "Romeo is amazing!" point of view)
  • indicates how this artist might be important (for example, has he been the subject of media coverage? Has he won any awards?)
  • shows where you got the information from - this should be reliable, published sources.

You might like to try writing a draft version on your userpage first. I hope this helps, Marasmusine (talk) 11:02, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your question[edit]

Hi there! As far as I can tell, you are not blocked, so there is nothing for me to remove. If you would like help writing an article, I suggest you check out Wikipedia:Your first article which has lots of useful information and tips for getting started. There's quite a lot to read, I know, so that should make it a bit more simple. Good luck, and happy editing! Ale_Jrbtalk 20:01, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Romeo Saran requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:RomeoFan/DJ Romeo, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Denniss (talk) 18:03, 5 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Note[edit]

Hello RomeoFan. I see that you do want to edit here, but there seems to be some tension between that, and your desire to promote. All articles on Wikipedia must be written neutrally, not in a way that would promote anyone or anything. Since the article copy in your userspace was blatantly promotional, it had to be deleted.

If you're a fan of the subject of your article, it might be very hard to edit that article neutrally, especially when you're this new here. Might I suggest you go find some other articles to edit, and come back to that one once you've learned the ropes and might have a better idea of what we expect from a neutral article? If you have any questions or would like some suggestions, you're welcome to ping me on my talk page. Seraphimblade Talk to me 18:50, 5 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
