Ways to improve Yvette Prieto[edit]

Hi, I'm DrStrauss. Rdjere, thanks for creating Yvette Prieto!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Hi, thanks for your article. While I think it satisfies our notability standards, the personal life section probably needs cutting down and more needs to be said about her modelling career.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Important Notice[edit]

This message contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

Please carefully read this information:

A community discussion has authorised the use of general sanctions for pages related to blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
The details of these sanctions are described here.

All articles related to the blockchain and cryptocurrencies, broadly construed, are placed under WP:1RR (one revert per editor per article per 24 hour period). When in doubt, assume an edit is related and so is a revert.
Any uninvolved administrator may, at his or her own discretion, impose sanctions on any editor working in the area of conflict if, despite being warned, that editor repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process.
Sanctions imposed may be appealed to the imposing administrator or at the appropriate administrators' noticeboard.

General sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimise disruption in controversial topic areas. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to these topics that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behaviour, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. An editor can only be sanctioned after he or she has been made aware that general sanctions are in effect. This notification is meant to inform you that sanctions are authorised in these topic areas, which you have been editing. It is only effective if it is logged here. Before continuing to edit pages in these topic areas, please familiarise yourself with the general sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

Using article talk pages[edit]

Quick note on the logistics of discussing things on Talk pages, which are essential for everything that happens here. In Talk page discussions, we "thread" comments by indenting - when you reply to someone, you put a colon in front of your comment, which the Wikipedia software will render into an indent when you save your edit; if the other person has indented once, then you indent twice by putting two colons in front of your comment, which the WP software converts into two indents, and so on. When that gets ridiculous you reset back to the margin (or "outdent") by putting this {{od}} in front of your comment.

We use the indenting (which calling "threading" per WP:THREAD), to make it clear if we are also responding to something that someone else already responded to if there are more than two people in the discussion; in that case you would indent just one more time than the person to whom you are responding - not one more than the person just above you.

I hope that all makes sense. And at the end of the comment, please "sign" by typing exactly four (not 3 or 5) tildas "~~~~" which the WP software converts into a date stamp and links to your talk and user pages when you save your edit.

Indenting and signing, is how we know who said what to whom and when.

I know this is unwieldy, but this is the software environment we have to work on.

Please be aware that threading and signing are fundamental etiquette here, as basic as "please" and "thank you", and continually failing to thread and sign communicates rudeness, and eventually people may start to ignore you (see here). Jytdog (talk) 18:29, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
