Yeah, that's been a concern for many articles that I wish to improve in terms of content, but they are oppressed with the lack of reliable sources. No wonder there is bias on Wikipedia. You blocked a bunch of accounts, Thais Alexandrina, etc., for sockpuppetry.

That was wrong. There was no sockpuppetry. Most of those accounts, as far as I could keep them straight, anyway, never referred to any other posting in a false reinforcement manner.

Wikipedia, as far anyone can tell, allows multiple accounts. Sockpuppetry IS ONLY when you abuse that by creating accounts that falsely reinforce each other to create a false appearance of consensus. I never did that.

Most of these accounts were actually article specific, so it would be impossible to create any such impression.

The only reason why this request was made was certain users, administrators actually, are pursuing some sort of vendetta over pervious edit disputes.

Your blocking of these accounts is wrong, there was no sockpuppetry, and you are being used to further some other person or person's unethical adgenda.

Hello. The photos that I uploaded on Commons have two different sources. Some come from family albums (Image:Manoeuvres militaires françaises à Madagascar.JPG, Image:Syndicat d'initiative.JPG, Image:Jour de l'Indépendance malgache.JPG, and Image:Afrique 32.JPG). The others (Image:Tsiranana photo libre.jpg, Image:Mba.jpg, Image:William tubman.jpg) are extracted from reports of Office de Radiodiffusion Télévision Française. They are not, strictly speaking, true photographs. I do not know if, in this case, there is really a copyright infringement but I am not an expert on the issue. Hi, there is an extremely long and muddled discussion going on at WP:Tennis about the tournament tables found on tennis player articles (i.e. this type of table), and I'm notifying you as you identified yourself as a member of the project. The dispute is over the "Tournament Name" column, with the options being to either use the "sponsored tournament name" - in other words, the name involving the sponsor, for example Internazionali BNL d'Italia - or the "non-sponsored tournament name" - in other words, Rome Masters. I appreciate that this conversation is very long and convoluted, so a brief summary can be found here, which is also where I request the discussion continues. An interesting situations seems to be developing in Sushruta and the Sushruta Samhita where one new editor seems bound to make a statement attributing the origin of all of India's literature to Ashoka. Most of it may have to do with a discussion here and here and a series of edits made on Leprosy which can be found here. He himself undid his edits on leprosy after I removed the off topic material but now he seems to do the 'attribution of the origin of India's literature to Ashoka' in Sushruta and the Sushruta Samhita for some reason.

I want to ask what can I do to defuse the situation? I'm pretty sure that this editor will not listen to reason or be civil (some of it may have to do with his being less experienced) but I can't let anyone attack an article for whatever level of experience one has. I myself spent days on wp: sandbox to attain minimum understanding of Wikipedia. I'm writing this to you because you have dealt with him once before for his edit warring where he made claims which he clearly did not intend to follow.

Just asking for an opinion: Would a fully sourced rewrite of these two articles using proper sources take care of the present situation so no outside intervention is necessary? The editor is new after all, and bound to make a few mistakes initially. He just reverted and said: Doesn't matter, it doesn't change a thing, I provide another scholar source. It doesn't matter that he has not read the source (or has it)? His source doesn't deal with medicine and does not have any component of India's medicine in it. And what are his comments on Indian literature doing on a surgery page? Please look at his latest reverts after warnings. I have not reverted thrice but rewrote the whole thing sourcing it and removing all material which was nsourced and/or unrelated to medicine. Literary critique belongs in the literature of India, not as a sweeping generalization in surgery. The material was originally introduced by another editor on Leprosy and has been removed from there following discussion. He neither has it nor is he familiar with it and the article itself is not seen on surgery related pages elsewhere as it deals with literature.JSR (talk) 21:28, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nishkid64, I apologize for again imposing on you for OTRS "stuff", but I'm wondering whether you could tell me what ticket 2007110910016335 says. I ask because this image of a Federal Reserve Note was replaced with one containing "specimen" stamping and a summary referring to that ticket as the reason. I'm curious whether the "specimen" stamp is indeed a requirement to display/reproduce such currency; I can't find such a requirement in US statutes or government websites, so I'm wondering whether the ticket articulates something I've missed.
