Project News Tag & Assess 2008, an assessment drive initiated by the assessment department began on June 7, 2008 and will be running until July 2008. Many Wikipedians have started contributing to this mammoth task. This housekeeping activity will help manage articles in better way. You can also get involved! Bot Assisted Assessment was successfully done using Bot0612 in May 2008. 1744 articles (18.5%) of all India unassessed articles were marked if they had been assessed by some other project. What's Featured and Good? Five new articles were promoted to featured article status in 2008: Western Chalukya architecture, 2007 Samjhauta Express bombings, Akhtar Hameed Khan, Preity Zinta, Kannada literature in the Vijayanagara Empire. Two new lists were given featured list status in 2008: List of international cricket centuries by Sachin Tendulkar, List of Victoria Cross recipients by nationality. There is currently one Indian article as a featured article nominee. Two more articles, (Bengali language, Kazi Nazrul Islam) are undergoing featured article reviews. You could help save these two articles by leaving your comments or assisting the involved editors. Three articles are undergoing good article nominations: Anekantavada, A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and Santosh Subramaniam. IPL was hot on Wikipedia too!!! During the tournament, the article was among the most frequently edited articles. It is currently the only Indian article in top 100, occupying 58th spot. Do you know of an article that is currently underrated? Any limitation to capital punishment (a global human rights issue) is significant in the U.S. and will be significant abroad. There's the justification for including Kennedy v. My problem is that this ruling is limited to child rape cases. Only two individuals in the US are directly affected by the ruling. I think your claim opens the floodgates for ITN items regarding changes, however minor they may be, in other world issues. You cut the whole part which presents the evidence of cultural cleansing and harassment against me; which is the whole reason why KieferSkunk opening it in the first place. I included that information under a subheading titled"school of thought", But that was deleted by a group of editors, who obviously dislikes that discussion.I find it interesting that now questions are being raised about Sreedharan's scholarliness. If you really like true history, then dont you feel any need to pick the key words from the last version, put them into google/amnesty/HRW search engines and then restructure the article with good references, So that you could proudly feel that you have typed the truth and prove that your own views are not-biased/pro-anti/terrorist-regimes/countries

HRW has mentioned that even world famous "Amnesty International" was not allowed to visit state of Punjab by Government of India.

In my college days we were taught several types of style, among which the use of the historic present had its own prestige. Even today several representative French authors are fond of it. In my humble opinion, whatever be your standard of accomplishment, verify the standard of the guy you are talking to, before you blurt any sermon. Thanks for the wikidrama.
