"Local media centre" is a nickname given to Michael P Dwyer because he is a journalist and his friends think he is a walking media centre because he usually knows more than they do about what's happening in the world.

It is not a company or group name, as a search of Google will show. And what is "local" to one person is not local to another, making the title useless as a business name anyway.

The reason I chose the name as a username was because my first two choices were already taken, and I was starting to get concerned about finding another name easily.

Unfortunately, by using my nickname, someone with the Username Calton recommended that I be blocked from further editing Wikipedia, and I found on one page that I had been blocked for vandalism, even though I have never written a wrong word in my Wikipedia edits, I have referenced most of my edits more accurately than many editors have, I have never written nonsense, never sworn, never written anything false, never defamed anyone, and never changed an article except to expand it, improve it, or fix spelling and grammar. I'm still learning the rules, and any early mistakes are only through ignorance, not intentional vandalism.

How do I get unblocked? Well, I am told it can be done, but at first reading it is not clear how to do this. I can request a change in username, but to do that I have to Add some text "below." But I can't find where "below" is. I will try a little longer to see if I can work out where "below" is, and if not I guess I will have to accept the punishment like innocent prisoners in jail have to.
