Removing this section was not a mistake. The omission of films and actors from the nominations is a purely subjective assessment. As mentioned multiple times already by myself, Govvy, and GiantSnowman, assists should not be included in football league season pages as per consensus of WT:FOOTY and it is against WP:NOTSTATS. If you wish to re-examine the consensus, you're welcome to contribute your thoughts to the discussion here.
