I have no stake in the content dispute; but I will say that if it happens again you can take your concerns to the article talk page, or use suggestions from WP:Dispute resolution to get additional input to resolve conflicts (such as contacting a related WikiProject or submitting a Request for Comment to get outside opinions on the disputed material).

I usually prefer having a third party review and to remove blocks; now that you have the {{unblock}} template is attached below, it should draw the attention of an outside admin to review.
