Sukhum[edit]

Following the dispute about Sukhum's twinning, a good cite has been produced that says that the "friendship link" that Kilmarnock has with this town is considered by East Ayrshire Council to be in Abkazia. Irrespective of what may be disputed elsewhere by other parties, and what may be written elsewhere, this is who the East Ayrshire Council says the link is with, and what is cited on the Kilmarnock and East Ayrshire pages. Please do not change this again unless you can cite a better reliable source that says otherwise. Thanks. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 10:04, 28 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct, Kilmarnock cannot alter the disputed country of Sukhum. But East Ayrshire and Kilmarnock can decide that they have a "friendship link" with Sukhum, Abkazia. It's their "friendship link", they get to decide who it's with, and it's not up to Wikipedia editors to correct them. If you wish to dispute the location of Sukhum I suggest you take up the matter on that article and leave Kilmarnock and East Ayrshire to cited facts that are within the scope of those articles. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 13:23, 28 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Fair point. The flag should be removed per MOS:FLAG. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 17:20, 28 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mount Kazbek[edit]

ANI notices[edit]

When you start a discussion about another editor on WP:ANI, it is mandatory that you notify them of the discussion. Please make sure you do this next time. Thanks. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 13:13, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Referring to other editors as fascist, racist, and antisemitic is a personal attack. You need really good evidence to justify that sort of thing. Please don't do it again, or you will be blocked. Shimeru 23:10, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oshki[edit]

Stop exporting your pro-Georgian PoV-pushism everywhere and start really addressing my arguments. Sardur (talk) 08:16, 30 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Of course, that's easier to repeat the same addressed argument than to answer to mine... Sardur (talk) 17:49, 30 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That's a very nice display of your collaborative behaviour. Btw, you're breaching R3R. Sardur (talk) 18:40, 30 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Please take note of this. Sardur (talk) 05:52, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

July 2010[edit]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for your disruption caused by edit warring and violation of the three-revert rule at Oshki. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Collages[edit]

Hey, Gaeser, I noticed your splendid collages, but I will need you to clarify something, in each one, you placed a black strip of Georgian writing which doesn't seem to have anything to do with the cities. Do not insert the coat of arms into a city: that goes into a seperate place in the infobox, and the collage is purely to represent how the city looks like. For Tbilisi, you might also want insert a snapshot of the city skyline or a panoramic view. Also, if you could make sure that they don't overlap each other, it would be grearly appreciated. Also, could you doing collages for Kutaisi and Batumi? Thank you.--RM (Be my friend) 18:29, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your reply. Let me try to clarify something: Although you thought the strip of language would be nice, it actually goes into two seperate places: The infobox native name place and the beginning of the article where it will also name the city in its native alphabet.--RM (Be my friend) 18:06, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Church of Saint George[edit]

Hey, how's it going? With regard to this article, it turns out it's an Armenian church built in the 18th century. There is no evidence of a previous church there, and certainly not any standing structure from the 5th century, so don't claim that it was a "Georgian" church appropriated by the Armenian church! It's exactly the other way around!.. I have cited relevant text for this, and all you have is some website written in Georgian which claims that there was a Georgian church there in the 4th century, and all in passing. Serouj (talk) 18:59, 6 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

So I've modified the article such that it's not written in such an assertive tone: specifically, I've made it clear WHO it is that is making certain claims -- e.g. "the Georgian Orthodox Church claims..." or "According to Samvel Karapetyan..." Serouj (talk) 19:29, 6 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, but Samvel Karapetyan has quite a bit of publications to his name. I don't know what your personal beef is with him, but I don't see a reason not to consider him a reliable source... and if not that, simply an Armenian source (vs a Georgian source). Best, Serouj (talk) 08:16, 7 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
