I kind realized the category was repetitive anyway, so I'm letting others deal with this. CommanderOzEvolved (talk) 05:08, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

March 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm SovalValtos. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, Botswana Defence Force, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. SovalValtos (talk) 17:44, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Redone with reference. Is it alright? CommanderOzEvolved (talk) 01:18, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Getting better! There is nothing in the source to support cause and effect. It may also be undue weight for the lead/lede, so better moved elsewhere in the article. Best wishes.SovalValtos (talk) 05:18, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I discovered that Botswana has a river-going contingent attached to the ground forces instead. Second reference added to reinforce that. CommanderOzEvolved (talk) 05:55, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Good find the river source. We cannot say "As Botswana is landlocked, the country has no sea-going navy" as although sourced that it is both landlocked and has no navy, being landlocked is not supported by the source as the reason for no navy. Some landlocked countries have navies, and others do not, for various different reasons. Best wishes.SovalValtos (talk) 01:20, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback granted[edit]

Hi CommanderOzEvolved. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have temporarily enabled rollback on your account until {{{expiry}}}. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Beeblebrox (talk) 03:06, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Obvious cases of vandalism only? Will do. Also, thanks alot! CommanderOzEvolved (Comm-Net) (Action-Log) 04:17, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Signature test[edit]

New signature! CommanderOzEvolved (talk) 14:07, 26 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I’m the great grandson of Edward Sherriff Curtis. My edits are absolutely correct! He was born February 19, 1868 and his middle name is spelt with 2 rs. Pa.johng (talk) 17:48, 27 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I did a google search of "edward sheriff curtis february" and his birthday is reported widely (including at commons) as February 16 1868. Are you sure your version is correct? Doesn't seem like it so far. CommanderOzEvolved (talk) 17:56, 27 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Correction to Edward Curtis[edit]

February 16 was a typo in one of Mick Gidley’s books which he regrets and has corrected since. It would appear no one else does their home work. He has it corrected in his latest book, page 4 “ Edward S. Curtis and the North American Indian Project in the Field. In addition to that, I have multiple family documents which state February 19, one of which is Curtis’ diary from the last year of his life. Pa.johng (talk) 19:13, 27 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In that case you should post your documents up somewhere reliable on the Internet so that they can be cited by the article regarding that guy's birthday. I am also emailing the book's author for confirmation. CommanderOzEvolved (talk) 05:11, 28 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Pacifism in Islam[edit]

The same IP you reverted in Islam and violence. Can you please take a look at the article mentioned. Thanks. Kleuske (talk) 13:01, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It was already protected and reverted to original state by the time I got back to respond. Thanks for your concerns though, and I will check the IP edits elsewhere. Sorry I was referring to Islam and violence article. Man this IP is disruptive on multiple pages. CommanderOzEvolved (talk) (contribs) 02:33, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I think Islam and violence does not have enough reverts to warrant page protection yet, so we will have to see what 68.33.77.244 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) does next.

Ejaz Durrani[edit]

I just wanted to say that Ejaz Durrani is a Pashtun born in Punjab, since his last name "Durrani" is a Pashtun tribe. This means he shouldn't be under the "Punjabi People" category but rather the "Pashtun People" category, since that would be misleading. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2406:3003:2004:4EC:89D0:7546:DABF:E695 (talk) 07:28, 29 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds alright to me. Please add source next time though. CommanderOzEvolved (talk) (contribs) 07:31, 29 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Alert[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have recently shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect: any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or any page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Greg Ellingson edit[edit]

The content removed is due to the inaccuracy and the bias it could bring to legal proceedings. Therefore l, should be removed until the legalities are resolved. Please continue with removal until further notice. Greg Ellingson (talk) 14:12, 17 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not used to dealing with cases like these, usually. My main focus is vandalism and/or trolling, both overt and subtle forms. If you want the information in question removed, I would not be the one to contact, but I will not be involved in this any more. CommanderOzEvolved (talk) (contribs) 14:49, 17 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for August 9[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Military surplus, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Collector (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
