Thank you for bringing this to my notice, @Prince of Erebor. I only tagged and added the citation needed template to that section because I felt the claim should at least be backed with one or two references.

Adding citations ensures the accuracy and reliability of the information presented, maintaining the integrity of the article.

No. If a piece of information is already cited with sources in the body, it does not need to be cited in the lead. Everything mentioned in that article's lead is very clearly sourced in the body if you had actually taken a look.

This is one of the most basic principles of Wikipedia's Manual of Style. However, with all due respect, I do not believe the lengthy body section could indeed be overseen, and it is more likely that you are not aware that a lead does not require duplicated citations.
