Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. Hi Adrian - please note that I've reverted your accepted pending changes at Bridget Moynahan. Edits that add unsourced personal information into articles, especially biography articles, should never be accepted. I noticed you reverted a change to Montana by an IP editor as original research. ([[1]]). I was thinking about accepting it myself, perhaps with some modifications. Because it is the lead, it is just a summary of what is farther in the article. The points the IP added are in the article and seem to fit well because the lead currently talks about the mountains in the western third of the state and says nothing about the rest of the state. So I think it was basically an improvement. Alternatively, the characterization about the mountainous part of the state could be removed from the lead so all geographical details are left to the geography section. Comments? Per [2]. In future when hunting for "typos", please make sure they are in fact "typos". This "Nordamerikanische Kulturareale" is German for "North American cultural areas", part of an image file name, which should never be messed with in articles as it it breaks the link to the images. The only change I consciously did was "small pox" to "smallpox" which I believe qualifies as "typo". Anything else was from converting html to editor format and back to html (behind the scene).
