You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create an account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:
- Create new pages and rename pages
- Edit semi-protected pages
- Upload images
- Have your own watchlist, which shows when articles you are interested in have changed
If you edit without an account, your IP address (82.132.233.229) is used to identify you instead.
We hope that you choose to become a Wikipedian and create an account. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}}
before the question on this page. We also have an intuitive guide on editing if you're interested. By the way, please make sure to sign and date your talk page comments with four tildes (~~~~).

What?[edit]
hi, I have never edited wikipideia. I have moved to a new address, went on Wikipedia and this 'new message' thing popped up. Why has it popped up if I in no way edited the Wikipedia? Could this be people in the area? Please explain, I'm confused. I just don't want my phone to be associated with this as I do not want to edit Wikipedia. I'm confused about what's going on. The contributions page says I have edited something in 2015 but how could I have done that with this IP address if I even wasn't here in 2015? Please, I really don't know what's happening. I don't care about this IP being blocked, I just want to know why it's showing up on my phone. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.132.233.229 (talk) 22:30, 17 March 2017 (UTC)
