Username policy and COI[edit]

Hello, User:Cmcnyc.media. Wikipedia does not allow usernames that 1) represent an organization rather than an individual and 2) that might be used (now or in the future) by more than one person. Follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Changing_username, in particular see the fourth point under "Alternatives to consider."

Also, you should read the information linked below about creating articles where you have a personal or pecuniary interest.

Information icon Hello, Cmcnyc.media. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you.

AfC notification: Draft:Campus Mission Church (New York City) has a new comment[edit]

Draft:Campus Mission Church (New York City)[edit]

Hi Mjoung. At Draft:Campus Mission Church (New York City), you wrote, Thousands of past CMC members are dispersed throughout the US as well as many countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa. Hundreds of them live in Seoul, Korea and gather occasionally, calling themselves 'CMC Seoul.' However, you didn't provide a reference to a reliable source that verifies this claim. I want to see this article published, and I think that if you can verify this statement, it would push it just past the edge.

Additionally, I removed one of the sources you added that was a link to a YouTube video. Generally, YouTube videos are not reliable sources for Wikipedia articles because anyone can publish a YouTube video and post what they want. In this case, the video seems to host content that was created by a Korean news agency. There is no indication, however, that the YouTube channel that hosted the video is the official YouTube channel of the news agency, or that the news agency authorized the channel to host the video. Therefore, the video may constitute a copyright infringement, and I have removed it just to be safe. Mz7 (talk) 23:02, 2 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Mjoung. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Campus Mission Church".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. » Shadowowl | talk 16:38, 5 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
