National Geographic, New International Dictionary of the Christian Church, 1911 EB, BBC, Eyewitness to History, www.reformation.org, Frey 1918, Remesnyder 1893, Guardian, Rogers BiblioBazaar, Pat 1970, Baird 1891, odd websites, JAMES MADISON. The further reading is way too large.
Too big by at least 5K words - 20,400 words now. Ancient sources all over the place (Livy, Suetonius, Plutarch, Cassius Dio, Josephus, Historia Augusta, ), outdated sources (DURANT???, Smith 1875, 1911 Britanica, Bury 1889, Liddell 1855, Sherman 1917, Tarver 1902, Cary 1967, ), non-academic (or even reliable) publishers (Candle Wick Press??, ), course websites, BBC, Bible Encyclopedias from 1915, Herzog's Protestant Encyclopedia 1858, GIBBON!, self-published (Abbott - BiblioBazaar publisher, etc), Encyclopedia Americana, "Artman, John:"Ancient Rome- Independent Learning Unit", page 26, Good Apple, 1991" (WTF?)
Ugh, one of those timelines, much of the references are to primary sources, and the rest is to two works - neither of which are by academic in the topic area.
