Hello! My name is Kidest Eshetu and I am a third year student at Washington University in St. Louis majoring in Biology with a concentration in Neuroscience and minoring in Writing. I am currently taking a course titled Behavioral Ecology where I will explore why organisms evolve in the ways that they do. I am currently studying the Phengodes laticollis or also known as the Glowworm beetle. I will be studying the predator and prey relationship amongst Glowworm beetles. Further, I also am interested in learning more about the biological and psychological aspects of the brain and how it functions under fight or flight situations. As well as how to better study Alzheimer's and ways to combat the issue with conducting active research studies. On my free time I enjoy writing and reading novels from historical fiction to poetry.
