Mike Wirth is Digital Artist and Educator who lives and works in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was born in Bethpage, New York in 1979. Holds a BFA in Multimedia from Long Island University(2001) and an MFA in Design and Technology from Parsons School of Design(2003). He is a professor in the Art Department at University of North Carolina in Charlotte and in the Interactive Media Design dept. at the Art Institute of Charlotte. He has been making and exhibiting art for almost 10 years. The range of his work has evolved over the years from traditional paintings and drawings to screen based interactive and physical computing installations. He has collaborated with other media artists such as G.H. Hovagimyan, John Klima and Jun Xu.
