Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Wikishovel (talk) 11:50, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Dream's grooming allegations[edit]

Will the allegations about dream be posted in here? not sure if it will but just asking just in case 2601:2C6:37F:ABB0:186E:AEF1:A761:AB17 (talk) 00:25, 22 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not unless reliable sources (meaning serious news organisations, and not low quality tabloid clickbait sites) take notice of them. Hemiauchenia (talk) 00:28, 22 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sourcing for misconduct[edit]

I found a revision of this article that was reverted and it has somewhat left me confused. One of the sources cited in that revision mentioning the sexual misconduct allegations is Dot Esports, with its WP:VG/S listing saying that it is reliable.[1] However, the person who did the revert claimed that it was it was unreliable for BLP use. On the VG/S entry though, there is nothing explicitly saying that it should not be used in BLPs, and as far as I know, I haven't seen anyone talk about the use of Dot Esports in biographical articles. Should we:
A: Mention the sexual misconduct allegations in passing, or
B: Not mention them at all and wait for other reliable sources to come out about the matter

I don't believe that these allegations are even remotely due. This is because exceptional claims require exceptional sources. We would need sources with a high reputation for being reliable, such as the BBC, Reuters, CNN, etc. Dream is one of the most famous Minecraft YouTubers, or even YouTubers in general, in the world, so he gets a lot of coverage by these highly reputable sources. They have not made any comments about these allegations, and there is probably a reason behind this. —Panamitsu (talk) 12:10, 25 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. These are very serious allegations, and they've only been covered by low quality sources. Hemiauchenia (talk) 16:06, 25 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
