Hello, I'm super new to wiki, and the last person to be of some help is 'Worldbruce'.

I'm not sure what happens from here but these will end up being sources of information, also:

http://www.digbeachvolleyball.com/digbeachvolleyball.com/DiG_Poll.html http://www.ncaa.com/sports/beach-volleyball https://www.avca.org/Groups/Beach-Volleyball http://www.teamusa.org/usa-volleyball/usa-teams/college-corner/womens-sand

Will 'Worldbruce' get this message??? ShelbyLH (talk) 15:52, 27 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@ShelbyLH: I did notice this message, but only by accident. Communication in Wikipedia takes some getting used to. People will notice anything you leave on their talk page. Otherwise, to be sure you have their attention start your message with a template such as {{ping}}, like this:
{{ping|Username}} Message text. ~~~~
I looked at the four links you listed above. None are what the draft needs for approval. You're seeking at least two independent reliable sources that have at least several paragraphs about the team, like the ESPN article the draft cites. The four new links at best only list Hawaii, they don't say anything substantial about it. Perhaps there has been significant coverage in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser? --Worldbruce (talk) 07:49, 28 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Bradv: R U out there? ShelbyLH (talk) 02:02, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah. What's up? Bradv 02:14, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I fixed the staradvertiser link so I could look it over, but there's still some information that doesn't have a source. Where's the information about the head coach from? Bradv 02:20, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Bradv: Hoping that I'm getting this all correct. I'm very new to wiki and don't know where I should be talking or not. I'm glad that you keep abreast of these pings which I only learned about the last time around.

Jeff Hall (the HC of UH Beach VB) is on the way out, I think. I personally don't think that he has what it takes to improve the program toward higher levels.

Blogs aren't good 3rd party sources, I'd take it, but the SA has a sport's editor who's really into the sport too and Cindy Luis' Volleyshots Blog is sponsored by the Honolulu SA.

Jeff Hall: http://www.staradvertiser.com/sports/uh-associate-volleyball-coach-hall-on-administrative-leave-2/ (and I'm not one to gossip, though here's another SA Sports Breaking News article).

The UH www.kaleo.org School Newspaper is a final reference point. ShelbyLH (talk) 02:52, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That reference doesn't mention that he's the coach of this team though, unless I'm misreading it. But keep finding sources and adding them to the article, and once you're happy, resubmit for review and I'll take a look. Thanks. Bradv 03:06, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Bradv: Bro, I'm from Hawaii originally and there I'd give out one of these. I'd say mahalo (thank you) and aloha (hello) too! http://www.jadefashion.com/shop/images/DSC_0008.jpg . ShelbyLH (talk) 04:47, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
