Repeated attempts have been made to create a duplicate or replacement page at Wang Talu.

@Doedoeneoneo: If you believe that this page should now be at the title "Wang Talu", then please:

1. Provide a link to a Reliable published source which confirms that the two names are the one person, and add this to the article, and then
2. Use the Requested move process, specifically Wikipedia:Requested moves#Requesting a single page move, to set up a discussion about moving the article to that title.

A page must not be retitled just by copying and pasting from one article into another, or by creating a new article and destroying the existing one: the repeated attempts to do so are Edit warring. We do not have two articles in the encyclopedia about the same person. When Wang Talu was created in October 2017 it was a duplicate article (if indeed they are the same person), as Darren Wang had existed, written by several different editors, since May 2016: any new content should have been added to the existing article. @Chrissymad: just for info. @PamD: Dear, nice to meet you. I am thinking that we should "talk" at Wang Talu page, not here. This page Darren Wang will NOT be destroyed and it will be redirected to Wang Talu tomorrow. Wang Talu and Darren Wang are the same person? Yes, they are the same person. That's why Chrissymad, Onel5969 and Treysand kept performing "redirect". Just calculated, they have performed "redirect" five times already. If Wang Talu and Darren Wang are not the same person, we might need to ask the three people why they redirected Wang Talu to Darren Wang.

This actor is well known by movie Our Times in 2015. In this movie, his English name was Darren Wang. Later on, this movie was released in many countries in 2016. Many fans called him Darren Wang after watching Our Times. That's why several different editors added content on Darren Wang.

However he has changed his English name to Wang Talu in 2016. We could see that his movie Suddenly Seventeen, released in 2016, is with his new English name Wang Talu. From 2016 till now, all the posters, trailers and film credits of his works are showing Wang Talu. It is really confusing that fans look for Wang Talu but it shows Darren Wang in wiki.

Wang Talu page was created by October 30, 2017. On the same day, it was redirected to Darren Wang by Treysand unfortunately. If Treysand did not "redirect", different editors will add more content on Wang Talu. The following are the information for you reference.

• @Doedoeneoneo: No, please do not work on a page at Wang Talu. As I have explained, the page on this person already exists, at Darren Wang,and has done since May 2016. We only need one page on one person, even if they change their name (as many people do for various reasons). If the name by which they are best known changes, we move the existing article to the new title. We do not abandon the previous article.

You caused the problem here by creating a new page at Wang Talu in 2017 instead of adding to the existing page and asking for it to be moved to the new title. That was quickly turned into a redirect by an editor who recognised that it was a duplicate article.

At this stage you can add more information to Darren Wang, including reliable sources which confirm that he is now better known as "Wang Talu". You can then ask for this page to be moved to that title, thus keeping all the history of the editors who have worked on it. If you keep trying to create a duplicate article at Wang Talu, you will keep being reverted until eventually quite likely you are blocked to protect the encyclopedia from this disruptive editing. • @PamD: Dear, sorry for the late reply. Thank you very much for this information. I just realized that I should perform "move", not "redirect". I am not good at wiki. I might need your help. I just went to "Darren Wang" and selected "More -> Move". I got some problems as below:

(1) On "Move Darren Wang" page, there is a drop-down list for "New Title". There are many items but I do not know which one I should choose.

(2) Next to the drop-down list, there is a text field with "Darren Wang" in it. Should I modify it to "Wang Talu"?

(3) In the text field "Reason", I should put all the reliable sources (screen credits) to prove that he has changed his name to "Wang Talu". Is it correct?

An editor who has now been blocked wanted to change the title of this article to Wang Talu (but persisted in going about it the wrong way by first creating a duplicate article, and then pasting the contents of this article over the redirect which other editors had created instead of the duplicate article). I cannot find any Reliable Source to confirm the name change: most of the sources in the article are in Chinese. If it can be confirmed from reliable sources that (a) the two names refer to the same person and (b) "Wang Talu" is the name he is most commonly known by, then it would be in order to make a proper Requested Move and I would be happy to do so if I saw such sources added to the article (in a language I can read). Contrary to the assertion above I have no objection to changing the title of the article, doing it the right way by moving it, if indeed the correct name of the article has changed. I note that the same editor instigated the change of name at IMDb (or at least asked for, and got, advice on how to do so), which emphasises the unreliability of that database. It appears to me that the subject is trying to effect a name change to his Chinese name and starting with Wikipedia, which is backward. Once the reliable sources predominantly use Wang Talu, or Ta Lu Wang, or another variant, then we can make the proposal here.
