Jane Brewer (1924-2017) was a Canadian politician and a former mayor of the city of Cambridge, Ontario. Brewer was born April 15, 1924 to Jack and Clara Davison.[1] She served as the mayor of Cambridge from 1988 to 2000.[2][3] Her political career spanned 36 years during which time she also served as a Region of Waterloo councilor.[4] She retired from in 2014 due to health issues.[3][5] The same year she was awarded a life time achievement award by the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce.[2][3] Brewer died August 22, 2017.[1]
