Hello, Quidster4040. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Pærish".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply Draft:Pærish and remove the db-afc, db-draft, or db-g13 code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Revision as of 08:32, 13 August 2020

Please note that after one month, I move items into archives to keep the talk page less cluttered. Please refer to the archive list below to see any messages or discussions that may have occurred in the past if you do not see it on this page.

A tag has been placed on Category:Southeast High Speed Rail Corridor templates requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read! Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!

Hello,

Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.

I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!

From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.

If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.

Thank you!

Notice

The article Craig Stewart (English footballer) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not meet WP:NFOOTBALL or WP:NCOLLATH; searches turn up trivial/routine/non-independent coverage, but no GNG sources.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Patriots Point Athletics Complex

Speedy deletion nomination of Patriots Point Athletics Complex

Hello Quidster4040,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Kingsif and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I have tagged an article that you started, Patriots Point Athletics Complex for deletion, because it is unnecessary and disambiguates only a single page.

If you feel that the page shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with Kingsif. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Hello, Quidster4040

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username SportingFlyer and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I’ve proposed an article that you started, 2019 Coastal Carolina Chanticleers men's soccer team, for deletion because it meets one of the relevant criterion. The particular issue can be located in the notice, that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to prevent the deletion:

 1. Edit the page
 2. Remove the text that looks like this:
 3. Click the Publish changes button.

But, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the raised issues. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with SportingFlyer. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

@SportingFlyer: I removed your proposed deletion. A consensus during a deletion for a VCU Rams soccer team season article back in 2016 kept college soccer team season articles for teams that either reach the NCAA Tournament, have an extensive reputation, or have won their conference regular season title. This has no references. Articles created by autopatrolled users are expected to be created without major issues. Please add at least two references to reliable sources. As a future election, it is even more important that this article clearly meet the notability requirements of the general notability guideline.

An article you recently created, 2020 Richmond, Virginia mayoral election, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia).
