Crapulence listed at Redirects for discussion

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Crapulence. Since you had some involvement with the Crapulence redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). ConcernedVancouverite (talk) 14:25, 25 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Bijan Abdolkarimi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Userfying an Article

Hello علی پیرحیاتی

I see that you are requesting to have the article on Bijan Abdolkarimi relisted. Might I suggest that you request to have it moved to your userspace instead? If that happened, then you could add the required notability information, then submit it for review as a potential new article. You can find a list of admins who will userfy your article here. If you have any questions, please feel free to post them at the Teahouse or on my userpage. Cheers, Ebikeguy (talk) 16:17, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. In fact, I know these regulations and I have more than 14000 edits in Persian Wikipedia. The problem is that most of the sources about this person are in Persian. So, a person who knows Persian, should consider his notability. Anyway, I request userfication. --Ali Pirhayati (talk) 17:56, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I'll shortly post the deleted text here The problem wasn't that the references were in Persian, it's that the article didn't explain why he is notable.
  • We have a one paragraph spammy start — who says he is prominent?
  • We have an OR list of his supposed views, without a single in-line reference to support it
  • We have a list of his book, which for all I know have sold one copy each
You are an experienced editor, so you know the importance of in-line citations, especially in biographies of living people, and especially when you are claiming to know his views. He may well be notable, but the article as it stood didn't tell us why and didn't properly reference the claimed text. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:05, 21 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I edited the page and add some in-line references. May you reconsider it?Ali Pirhayati (talk) 19:10, 21 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, obviously much better with the refs. I tidied a bit, including removing "distinguished", which looks spammy, otherwise mainly MoS, link to Heidegger etc.

  • Two of your "views" appear to have inadvertently rolled into one. I've separated them, but that leaves the third bullet point unreffed. Obviously you will need to fix that.
  • I think there is still some doubt about whether he meets WP:Notability (academics). He appears to be an academic doing what academics do, and writing a few books. Obviously I'm handicapped by not being able to read Persian.
  • Once you have added the missing "views" ref, I'd suggest that you move it into article space. It won't be eligible for speedy deletion since it has refs and isn't spammy. It's possible that it might be tagged for notability, but there's only one way to find out!

Good luck Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:10, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Sayyed Mohsen Fatemi

Hi, I'm Skrelk. علی پیرحیاتی, thanks for creating Sayyed Mohsen Fatemi!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. More sources are needed to show notability.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. —Preceding undated comment added 09:34, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Author reading has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is not a dictionary, but rather an encyclopedia about notable topics.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. non-latin username

However, there is a small issue with your username. As it is in a non-Latin alphabet script it may not display correctly for many other users. Although usernames like yours are not prohibited, Wikipedia's signature guideline and username policy encourage you, as a courtesy to other users, to alter your signature so that it also includes a translation of your username using Latin characters, so others can see it correctly. For the how-to of tailoring your username, please see WP:CUSTOMSIG.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Carl Raschke requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from https://web.archive.org/web/20130531061043/http://carlraschke.com/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Contributor copyright investigation

Hello, علی پیرحیاتی. As you know, some copyright issues were flagged recently with some of your contributions. Unfortunately, on closer evaluation, it seems that you may have had a previously undiscovered habit of copying content from your sources. It seems obvious to me that you were working on good faith, as you have cited every source that I've yet found, but unfortunately this is simply not something we can do on Wikipedia. It is very unusual for a source to be free for copying in that way.

I have had to remove content from several articles you created and have listed your contributions for a "contributor copyright investigation" (CCI) so that they can be evaluated against our copyright policies. The intention of a CCI is simply to address outstanding copyright issues. You can help by reviewing the articles yourself and proactively removing or rewriting any copied content that you find. The listing is here: Wikipedia:Contributor copyright investigations/20140301. If you address a copyright issue in any article, please feel free to make a note beneath the listing. Something like this would work: :Problem addressed. --~~~~

The article will still need to be reviewed by somebody else, but it will both help reviewers and demonstrate your improved understanding of our copyright policies. To that end, I would recommend reading Wikipedia:Copy-paste as well as the policies and guidelines to which it links.

If you have any questions, please let me know. If you add User:Moonriddengirl to your note, I will be alerted that it is here, which will help me avoid inadvertently overlooking it. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 17:04, 1 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Copying from one page to another

Hello.

I've just noticed that on March 19, you created the article Moral intellectualism by copying substantial content from the article Intellectualism. While it is permissible to copy content from one article to another, content on Wikipedia is not public domain and the terms of the license must be met. Unless you meet these terms, this copying is as much a copyright problem as copying content from sites that are not compatibly licensed.

The way to meet the licensing term on Wikipedia is to give credit for the copying at minimum in edit summary and often also on the talk page. This is a required step. I have provided the attribution at Moral intellectualism to resolve the copyright problem there. If you wish to move content from one page to another, or from one project to another, in future, please be sure to follow those necessary steps. You can read more about how to do them and why at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thanks. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 10:54, 16 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of The Stone (blog)

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Vanjagenije (talk) 17:34, 3 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The article Bulent Diken has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Opposition to copyright shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. 331dot (talk) 13:42, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Cynthia Nielsen

Hi, I'm Graeme Bartlett. Pirhayati, thanks for creating Cynthia Nielsen!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. To show notability we need independent references (not from the subject or employers or member organisations) but from others commenting on her work or person

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Hello, Pirhayati. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Veris Ltd, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Deletion discussion about Holly M. Lewis

Hello, Pirhayati,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Holly M. Lewis should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Holly M. Lewis .

Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

Ways to improve Kenneth Laine Ketner

Hi, I'm Innisfree987. Pirhayati, thanks for creating Kenneth Laine Ketner!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Hi there, thanks for your contribution! If possible, it would be great to add references to reviews of Ketner's work--typically a named chair at a large research university like Texas Tech satisfies WP:NACADEMIC but evidence of independent attention to his work would really help bring the entry up to WP standards, as even in the case of academics, entries should be based on secondary sources as much as possible. Thanks!

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

A tag has been placed on Dialog and Peace Award requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

There's no mention of the award in the target article

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
