A pre-owned vehicle is a euphemism for "used car", conceived to de-emphasize the thought that the car was used by its previous owner. Benefits of purchasing a used car include lower price. Disadvantages of buying a used car include higher maintenance costs and uncertainty about the maintenance history of the vehicle.
