His current position as an A-League Referee is under review after he failed to award a penalty to Sydney FC in the dying stages of the Sydney Derby after Robbie Cornthwaite tripped Alex Brosque inside the penalty area. He has believed to have apologized to Sydney FC for this horrendous blunder but his words does not change the view from any of the Sydney FC players or fans. This also brings back horror memories as a similar challenge had taken place at AAMI Park in the FFA Cup Final when Osama Malik brought Brosque down and shoud've received a red card and given away a free kick in the process.
