Hi, I'd like to request Page Mover permission, mainly for the "suppressredirect" right. While I think in most cases it is beneficial to leave behind a redirect (and I would therefore be very conservative in using this right - in fact, in most cases I am creating new redirects rather then deleting them), sometimes they just don't make sense. Basically, I see WP:PM/C#3, WP:PM/C#4, and sometimes WP:PM/C#1 applying. I guess, any reduction in the overhead to deal with such redirects (for admins and myself) is time and energy that could be better spent on other article improvements. I'm not very active at RM, but over the years I have smoothly moved several hundred articles, indicating a good grasp of guidelines and judgement regarding proper article and redirect titles. Thanks. As a frequent editor of video game-related articles, I run into incorrectly titled articles from time to time. I would like to request the page mover right, so I can clean up after myself if needed and help out in move discussions. I am aware of the guidelines on titles. I am also a member of WP:VG, which I frequently discuss guideline policy, including WP:NCVG. Recently, I moved Universe of Metro 2033 to Metro (series), BioShock (soundtrack) to Music of the BioShock series) and REDCON (video game) to Redcon (video game). In the recent past, my move requests were granted; see The Climb (video game), Dead Rising, God of War (upcoming video game). As an AFC and IRC helper, I often find myself moving a page into the draft space and having to R2 the resulting redirect. There are also occasions as well when I need to accept a draft over a redirect. Primefac (talk) 17:46, 19 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
