"Everytime We Touch"
Song

"Everytime We Touch" is a song by German group Cascada which borrows a chorus by Maggie Reilly, from her 1992 album Echoes. The song was produced by Manuel Reuter and Yann Peifer and received a positive reception from music critics. It was a huge worlwide dance-hit in early 2006, released as the second single in the third quarter of 2005 in the United States, where it reached the top ten the following year and became certified double platinum by the RIAA. In Germany, the song was released in the first quarter of 2005 and reached number five. The track charted on The UK Singles Chart with digital downloads alone at #41. It reached number four in the UK charts on the week ending 06.08.06 upon the release of its physical single. It currently stands at #2 in the UK, held off from #1 by Hips Don't Lie by Shakira. The single in its original version was also released by girlband "Run a way" from Estonia. On August 17, 2006, in its fourth week on the Irish Singles Chart, it was able to dethrone Shakira from her nine week run at #1 with "Hips Don't Lie" and move itself to #1.

Yanou's Candlelight Mix

"Everytime We Touch (Yanou's Candlelight Mix)" appears as the final track on the album Everytime We Touch. The trance beat of "Everytime We Touch" was removed from this version, and was replaced by a piano, making it sound more ballad-like. The regular version of "Everytime We Touch" was released as a single in 2005. This version was made for U.S. radio stations that refuse to play dance songs, similar to the reasons behind the release of DJ Sammy's "Heaven (Candlelight Remix)." Due to the success of the original "Everytime We Touch", this version was seldom played. However, the video for the Candlelight version of this song has received widespread airplay, being one of the most popular videos on Bebo.
