The article James Giles (philosopher) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the proposed deletion/dated notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing proposed deletion/dated will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.<!-- Template:Proposed deletion notify --> Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 16:12, 22 February 2014 (UTC)

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Crapulence. Since you had some involvement with the Crapulence redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). ConcernedVancouverite (talk) 14:25, 25 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Bijan Abdolkarimi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Userfying an Article

Hello علی پیرحیاتی

I see that you are requesting to have the article on Bijan Abdolkarimi relisted. Might I suggest that you request to have it moved to your userspace instead? If that happened, then you could add the required notability information, then submit it for review as a potential new article. You can find a list of admins who will userfy your article here. If you have any questions, please feel free to post them at the Teahouse or on my userpage. Cheers, Ebikeguy (talk) 16:17, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. In fact, I know these regulations and I have more than 14000 edits in Persian Wikipedia. The problem is that most of the sources about this person are in Persian. So, a person who knows Persian, should consider his notability. Anyway, I request userfication. --Ali Pirhayati (talk) 17:56, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I'll shortly post the deleted text here The problem wasn't that the references were in Persian, it's that the article didn't explain why he is notable.
 • We have a one paragraph spammy start — who says he is prominent?
 • We have an OR list of his supposed views, without a single in-line reference to support it
 • We have a list of his book, which for all I know have sold one copy each
You are an experienced editor, so you know the importance of in-line citations, especially in biographies of living people, and especially when you are claiming to know his views. He may well be notable, but the article as it stood didn't tell us why and didn't properly reference the claimed text. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:05, 21 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I edited the page and add some in-line references. May you reconsider it?Ali Pirhayati (talk) 19:10, 21 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, obviously much better with the refs. I tidied a bit, including removing "distinguished", which looks spammy, otherwise mainly MoS, link to Heidegger etc.

 • Two of your "views" appear to have inadvertently rolled into one. I've separated them, but that leaves the third bullet point unreffed. Obviously you will need to fix that.
 • I think there is still some doubt about whether he meets WP:Notability (academics). He appears to be an academic doing what academics do, and writing a few books. Obviously I'm handicapped by not being able to read Persian.
 • Once you have added the missing "views" ref, I'd suggest that you move it into article space. It won't be eligible for speedy deletion since it has refs and isn't spammy. It's possible that it might be tagged for notability, but there's only one way to find out!

Good luck Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:10, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Sayyed Mohsen Fatemi

Hi, I'm Skrelk. علی پیرحیاتی, thanks for creating Sayyed Mohsen Fatemi!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. More sources are needed to show notability.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. —Preceding undated comment added 09:34, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

non-latin username

However, there is a small issue with your username. As it is in a non-Latin alphabet script it may not display correctly for many other users. Although usernames like yours are not prohibited, Wikipedia's signature guideline and username policy encourage you, as a courtesy to other users, to alter your signature so that it also includes a translation of your username using Latin characters, so others can see it correctly. For the how-to of tailoring your username, please see WP:CUSTOMSIG.

Thanks, and feel free to message me about anything. --Frze > talk 11:55, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of James Giles (philosopher), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.james-giles.com/bio.html.
