Xosha Kai Roquemore (pronounced Zo-sha) (born December 11, 1984) is an American actress. She is best known for her portrayal of Jo Ann in the 2009 film Precious.
Biography
Roquemore was born in Los Angeles in 1984. She started with an acting program, The Amazing Grace Conservatory, in ninth grade. After graduating high school, she moved to New York City and graduated from the Tisch program of the New York University.
She was a supporter of Barack Obama in the 2008 presidential election.[1]
