Marcos Aoás Corrêa (born 14 May 1994), commonly known as Marquinhos, is a Brazilian footballer currently playing as a centre back for Roma in the Italian Serie A. Not to be confused with Marco Antonio de Mattos Filho who is commonly known as Marquino who also plays for Serie A outfit Roma.

Career

Marquinhos was considered one of the most promising youngsters at Corinthians during his tenure there. Renowned for his versatility, Marquinhos joined the Corinthians ranks at the age of eight in 2002, having amassed ten years of experience in the club's youth squads. Since 2010, he has been called up by the Brazil under-17 squad. In 2012, Marquinhos was a part of the Corinthians squad for the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior 2012. He made six official league appearances for the senior Corinthians side.
