Steven M. Greer (June 28, 1955) is an American physician, ufologist, author, and lecturer, who founded the Center for the Study of Extraterrestial Intelligence (CSETI), the Orion Project, and The Disclosure Project.
Biography
Dr. Greer reports a long history of personal contact with benign, enlightened Extraterrestial beings. He coined the term CE-5 (Close Encounter of the Fifth Kind) to describe his protocol for human-initiated contact with Extraterrestrials. [1]
According to the Disclosure Project website, Dr. Greer received a Bachelor of Science degree in "Bio/Preprofessional & Paramed" in December of 1982. He then received his Doctor of Medicine degree on May 16, 1987, from the James H. Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University, in Johnson City, TN (http://qcom.etsu.edu/). Dr. Greer interned for one year, from 1987 – 1988, at the Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) in Asheville, NC - web site is http://www.mtn.ncahec.org/ - which is a division of University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Following his internship, Dr. Greer worked in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Caldwell Memorial Hospital until 1998. He also served as chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine for 1 year, around 1995. A lifetime member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the nation's most prestigious medical honor society, Dr. Greer retired as an emergency physician to work with CSETI, The Disclosure Project and The Orion Project. Center for the Study of Extraterrestial Intelligence (CSETI)
The Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence (CSETI) is an international nonprofit scientific research and education organization founded in 1990 by Dr. Steven Greer. CSETI is dedicated to the furtherance of human understanding of extraterrestrial intelligence. Projects include the CE-5 Initiative and the Disclosure Project.[3]
CE-5 Initiative
The CE-5 Initiative has as its central focus bilateral ETI-human communication based on mutual respect and universal principles of exchange and contact. Using the CE-5 protocol, Dr. Greer has been conducting Ambassador Training events worldwide with the intention of teaching people to become peaceful ambassadors to a trans-dimensional universe. [4]
The Disclosure Project
The Disclosure Project is a nonprofit research project initiated by Dr. Greer in 1992. The stated purpose of this organization is to expose facts relating to UFOs, extraterrestrial intelligence, and classified advanced energy and propulsion systems. The Disclosure Project has been well received by UFO enthusiasts, with speeches from Dr. Greer and various other witnesses being presented at various UFO-themed conferences. Dr. Greer has held press conferences and embarked on a continuing series of lectures and television appearances in an effort to raise public awareness and support.[5] [6]
Dr. Greer organized and presided over the National Press Club Disclosure Event in May, 2001. [7] More than 20 military, government, intelligence and corporate witnesses presented testimony regarding the existence of extraterrestrial life forms visiting Earth, as well as the reverse engineering of the energy and propulsion systems of their advanced, consciousness-assisted technologies. The original version (audio not yet remastered) of "The Disclosure Project" video on YouTube has had over two billion viewings. [8]
Sirius Documentary
In 2012, Steven M. Greer teamed up with director Amardeep Kaleka of Neverending Light Productions to create a feature-length documentary, Sirius. The developers of the film promised to include "high-level witness testimony as well as audio and visual evidence" of visits to Earth by advanced Inter-Stellar Civilizations and the suppression of secret, clean energy technologies, as well as an exploration of the CE-5 protocols in establishing contact with extraterrestrial beings. Their pre-set production budget of raising more than 250,000 US-Dollars was achieved within weeks in August 2012 through crowdfunding [9] [10].
