Zhuanghe (simplified Chinese: 庄河; traditional Chinese: 莊河; pinyin: Zhuānghé), is a city in southern Liaoning province of Northeast China, located on the coast of the Korea Bay. It is one of the three county-level cities under the administration of Dalian, the other two being Pulandian and Wafangdian.
Geography
It's located in the northeastern part of Dalian on the Liaodong Peninsula. It covers an area of 6968 square kilometers, including sea. It borders Dandong to the east and Pulandian to the west.
Climate
Zhuanghe has a humid continental climate (Köppen Dwa), with long, cold, but dry winters, and humid and very warm summers. The area experiences a seasonal delay due to the influence of the nearby ocean, which also helps temper the summers. Precipitation is generous but close to 3/4 of the annual total falls from June to September.
