The 2010–11 Premier League (known as the Barclays Premier League for sponsorship reasons) will be the nineteenth season of the Premier League since its establishment in 1992. The season will get underway on Saturday 14th August 2010.
A total of twenty teams will contest the league, including seventeen sides from the 2009–10 season and three promoted teams from the 2009–10 Football League Championship. Arsenal, Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Blackburn Rovers, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Stoke City and Tottenham Hotspur have ensured they will remain in the Premier League in 2010–11.
