There is 2 Main temples at Ammadam. One is situated near to the place called parppakadavu and the other one located in mullakara. Both temples are famous for Lord Vishnu.

Ammadam (Ammayude Idam or Aa madom, literally meaning 'the place of mother'), is a picturesque village in the Thrissur district of Kerala state in India, where traditional Christians and Hindus reside in peace in the communally turbulent India.[citation needed] Ammadam is about 8 km (5 mi) away from Thrissur town. It's filled with scenic beauty. For a long time, most of the people were farmers. The area is under the Parlam panchayat. The paddy fields of the place are called Kole and these fields are below sea level. Ammadam is separated from the sea by a small dam in Enamavu, called Enamavu Bandu.

The Kolathe were the ones who had the whole of the Ammadam village under them; then it came under the Kokkarnikkal family in 1952.
