A vacation will do you the world of good. Take as long as you need, but do come back. Theresa Knott (The snott rake) 20:02, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)

No, please don't, unless you are willing to reform your ways. anthony 警告 21:16, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Way to be backhanded. Mike H 03:41, Dec 1, 2004 (UTC)
Have you even read this guy's goodbye message? anthony 警告 (message was edited, I was referring to [1])
You are kinda proving him right with your above response though. It is somewhat mean spirited to tell someone not to come back again. Having said that, I have to say I didn't notice that he'd included your name in his goodby message. Normally in these circumstances i would have asked Rick to remove your name, since I cant do that because he is on a break I'm going to remove it myself. Hpefully people will not think this too contraversial Theresa Knott (The snott rake) 14:45, 1 Dec 2004 (UTC)
That's why I clarified that he should come back if he is willing to reform. I'm not being mean, I don't have anything against Rick personally, I'm just trying to protect Wikipedia. Before he left voluntarily I was really close to taking Rick to arbitration. anthony 警告 15:25, 1 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Goddamnit. I've had it with dealing with trolls, agenda pushers and fools myself, but you being driven away just takes the cake. Please do come back - and soon. We need all the people like you that we can get. Ambi 22:26, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)

I hope you will be back soon too. By all means take a vacation - don't make it a permanent one! :) Dysprosia 08:53, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Hope your stress levels drop and you enjoy your vacation. It'll be good to have you riding shotgun again. silsor 09:03, Nov 30, 2004 (UTC)

When you come back from your brief vacation, I hope you will reconsider your actions - particularly the use of rude or snide remarks, and the use of administrative powers to "win" when you disagree with people. - Keeper of Records 19:06, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Well put. I should remember to assume that Rick is going to change, rather than assume he's just going to continue in his old ways. The fact that he attacked me in his going away message doesn't leave me very hopeful, though. anthony 警告 04:13, 1 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Don't let anyone chastise you on how you do business...you're one of the good ones. Mike H 03:42, Dec 1, 2004 (UTC)

"When you come back from your brief vacation" were RickK's words to me immediately after he inappropriately banned me without discussion or warning - presumablyt leaving him feeling quite satisfied at having his "last word". If he feels entitled to chastise me, I certainly feel entitled to chastise him. The difference is that I haven't used any inapprpriate powers to ensure that I "win". - Keeper of Records 05:17, 1 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Dude, you rock! Come back soon, and enjoy your break. - RedWordSmith 04:08, Dec 1, 2004 (UTC)

I hope the break does you the world of good, don't let the trolls get you down. Shane King 04:25, Dec 1, 2004 (UTC)

In answer to your question, the antenna farm near Brandy Station (actually up the road a little bit) is some type of U.S. Government facility with huge satellite dishes that take up the entire area. There is no trespassing allowed there. I believe the name of the place is Warrenton Training Center. Nathanlarson32767 04:41, 1 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Rick, take as long as you need, but not a moment more!  :-) We're looking forward to your return. SWAdair | Talk 04:47, 1 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Hi, I wanted to wish you a nice vacation. Hope you feel better soon! --[[User:Eequor|ᓛᖁ♀]] 06:12, 1 Dec 2004 (UTC)

GeorgeStepanek's user page has a great quotation: "Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to remove."—Antoine de Saint-Exupery. I look forward to your return. [[User:Dpbsmith|Dpbsmith (talk)]] 13:55, 1 Dec 2004 (UTC)

We miss you, Rick. Don't let the trolls get to you - take a break and then come on back. →Raul654 05:30, Dec 2, 2004 (UTC)

On the other hand, it might be well to remember that not everyone who "gets to you" is a "troll" who must be "banned" without warning and dictate your future actions accordingly. Sometimes people with whom you disagree are acually "people" with an opinion different from yours, and the wiki way to deal with such a person is reasoned discourse rather than a program of banning followed by snide remarks. -- Keeper of Records 10:09, 3 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Yeah, Rick, it's good that you're taking a break, I hope getting out a little more helps you to see things in perspective, and recognize others as people who have legitimate opinions. Once you start to treat others with respect, you will get more yourself. Xtreme! 23:18, 7 Dec 2004 (UTC) PS. Nice Goatse you had going there!

Abuse of adminship

Since you commented last time I raised such an issue, would you please take a look at Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Slrubenstein ? CheeseDreams 20:50, 3 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Request

Hi, Neutrality and I are engaged in an edit war. He has also contributed to a request for arbitration (and RfC) against me. He has just blocked me.

Please note that the block occurred just after I had discovered a new RfAr against myself, and was starting to provide rebuttals to it.

I consider this an abuse of his adminship.

Could you look into this action, and consider whether un-blocking me is appropriate? CheeseDreams 23:14, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Mate, I've reverted that article after unprotecting it. I've given reasons why I've done so on the talk page. Just thought you should know. - Ta bu shi da yu 09:16, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Request for page protection

There is yet another edit war at Historicity of Jesus This time started by the person who unprotected the article immediately reverting once they had done so. CheeseDreams 14:47, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC)

I deleted what was already written on the 1970s and starting a rewrite. It's in progress, but tell me what you think of what's already there. Mike H 19:43, Dec 15, 2004 (UTC)

Tucson, Arizona

The talk pages or other sources indicate you have in the past participated in discussions regarding whether to put a Native American name translation in the introductory sentence of articles on Arizona cities. We are currently having a vote on this issue at Talk:Tucson, Arizona#VOTE HERE. Please come by and weigh in. Thanks. --Gary D 00:44, Dec 16, 2004 (UTC)
