I grew up in Columbus and lived there for 25 years, and I can tell you that the "neighborhood" described is not recognized as a distinct neighborhood, nor is the name used by anyone other than a handful of people posting on a couple message boards. I wrote all of the other articles presently in [[:Category:Columbus, Ohio neighborhoods]]—''those'' are widely recognized, have distinct characters that separate them from the surrounding areas, have permanent street signs that mark their existence, and three out of four have neighborhood associations (see the external links in [[German Village]], [[the Short North]], and [[Clintonville]]). None of this is true of "Washington Beach."
